The lap before I was thinking how cool it looked, 4 wide, tight pack, 200mph.. then I thought "it can't las..." and sure enough Stewart was airbourne before I was finished..
Who was the 3M car? Was up high right at the back of the crash and somehow picked his way through it all in an almost apologetic "excuse me, pardon me, terribly sorry" sort of way! Hats off to Tony Stewart for holding his hand up to causing it all. Quite liked his quip about being a finely tuned athlete when the post-race interviewer asked him if he was ok - 2 Did very well to come through that. Thought Kenseth shoving Bowyer was a bit out of order.
I like Tony, he tells it like it is. When they were at Talladega earlier this year some amount of disappointment was shown in the media because the "big one" didn't happen, so Tony did an interview: http://youtu.be/1UjbugjIAxc
Who says the Americans can't do sarcasm
3M car is Biffle, he had a really strong start to the year with several wins but seemed to lose form a little.

Oh and Kurt
I rather liked his interview outside the medical centre, when he acknowledged that he put himself in a lot of the situations where he ends up in trouble. But driving off with the doctor's bag on the roof wasn't clever Would have been good to see one of James Finch's cars win though and they looked good enough to be in with a chance.
Almost 60 changes of leader, 18 different leaders, pack racing was back at 'Dega like it was 10-15 years ago.
There's always one BIG ONE, and this time if was in the last turn!
If Tony Stewart hadn't stupidly tried to defend against the #55, I reckon Michael Waltrip would have taken the win...
Now on to Charlotte.

Early this week!
Jr has announced he will not drive at Charlotte or Kansas because he is suffering from concussion received in the Talladega shunt. He says he previously suffered concussion after a crash (back in 2002) but kept on driving and felt it affected him for a long time afterwards so wants to do "the right thing" this time. He will only return to the track once his doctor gives him the nod, so may be out for more races.
Regan Smith will drive the 88.
As we know, Kurt Busch ran his last race in the #51 last weekend, it has been announced that Allmendinger will return to cup in the car at Charlotte.
Charlotte are night races, so not too friendly for us over here..
Nationwide race is at 12:45am Saturday morning, motorsTV schedule says they will show it at 9pm Satuday.
Cup race is the same time but Sunday morning.
So if you want to do an all nighter you should be able to watch the races, entertain yourself for an hour or so and then F1 should be on

As an extra to the elder Busch, he'll be in the Furniture Row #78 from now on, and that car has won before...Jr has announced he will not drive at Charlotte or Kansas because he is suffering from concussion received in the Talladega shunt. ETA: Maybe I should read the actual thread, someone mentioned it above
I believe what brought on the concussion this time was a testing crash at Kansas, and the traditional Talladega car park caused him to regress.

Cannot believe Allmendinger has been accepted back into the fold so quickly when similar allegations pretty much ended the careers of Mayfield and Hmiel. Does not reflect a positive image regarding drug use in NASCAR.
He's completed his rehab program.Mayfield was a scumbag and was/is a habitual user. I don't think 'dinger is in the same league as him.

Shouldn't that be 'Lotte? I've lived in the US for nearly 12 years and been to Talladega 5 or 6 times. I've never heard it referred to as 'Dega.
Depends which part of the 'States you've been living in.My friends in Knoxville (TN), and Cullman (AL) have referred to the great place as 'Dega before.

Thought Hmiel was caught several times as well? He was at least trying to rebuild his career before his crash.Cup and Nationwide are in Kansas this weekend.
Nationwide race is live on motorstv at 8:30pm tonight.
Cup race green flag is 7:16pm Sunday.
Sadler looks to be on his way to JGR to partner Brian Vickers in Nationwide next year.
In cup, still no Jr, Regan Smith will run in the 88 again, he didn't have a good qualifying and ended up 39th. Jr says he is on track to be back for Martinsville next weekend.
JR Motorsports are talking to Smith for a full time Nationwide drive in 2013.
Danica to the back due to engine change
Kahne took pole with a new track record, ahead of Mark Martin, Bowyer and Kyle Busch.
'Dinger is again in the 51, 13th for the start.
Chasers are all over the place - Stewart down in 33rd, Keselowski 25th, Hamlin 9th.

Landon got it right with what he said on the radio. She should know better and should be able to recover a spin better than that.
This is turning in to a "woah, who next?"
Crap, as I type that Amirola does it again! out this time.
Not his fault by the looks of it.
Hoping Mark Martin can eke out the fuel, be good to see him win.
