Losing interest in f1?
Discussion
As I work from home I miss watching the full Friday practice sessions as I pick up what is going on behind the scenes, which I enjoy.
However, the race last week was fantastic and the only one to have me on the edge of the seat since Canada last year. Lots of racing and overtakes, very enjoyable.
Just wish there were more on BBC and less on Sky.

As a guy who used to get really annoyed if I missed any race or qualifying session (regardless of what unholy time it was on in the morning!), I've found I've lost a bit of interest. I'm certainly not going to be getting up early anymore - I can't watch half the races live, so what difference does it make adding a couple more to that list?
Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love F1. The real test is going to be when it clashes with the BTCC coverage - that decision used to be a no-brainer, F1 always won. This year I'm not so sure....
Got up evry morning never missed a race... now I have seen two laps.... as I was zapping through for something else... forgot China was on...Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love F1. Seen at least some of every practice and quali session so far, seen all of the races. Watch the F1 show (mainly for Georgie). Pretty damn happy with Sky's coverage so far if I'm honest. Think it's worth getting a basic package of some kind (whether it's with Sky/Virgin/Freesat/whatever) that has the F1 channel, surely can't cost too much.
As for the actual racing, all three races have had different winners, plenty of overtaking, close racing and lots of incident and interest. Shaping up to be a fantastic season.

Lost a bit of interest in it all due to the TV channel fiasco.
But, in all fairness it's worked out quite well, the BBC highlights are so well put together that I can't tell when they've skipped laps, so to me it's like watching a really exciting sprint race. In fact I enjoyed the Aus/Malaysia highlights so much I didn't bother with the live race last weekend.
I still keep up to date with all the going ons during the week on websites etc and I'm no less of an F1 fan than I've ever been, but the highlights format means I spend less of my Sunday sitting around doing nothing, I don't have to get up early for non-euro races, I don't have to watch X amount of laps of non action and I've stayed with the broadcasting team/format I liked.

I don't find that interest correlates with the quality of the F1 season. As much as I love F1 I'd be disappointed if nothing else in life was able to grab my attention or enthuse me in any way. It'd be quite a shallow life. Thus I think it's normal and not a negative reflection for one's interest to ebb and flow.

F1 doesn't need to worry about hardcore fans, they'll watch it no matter what, but make life difficult for the majority who are less committed and viewing figures will soon start tumbling and that is a big problem for F1.
Though they seem to not give a monkeys about it.
The combined viewing figures between the BBC and Sky last weekend were the highest TV numbers that F1 has had for a long time. Though they seem to not give a monkeys about it.
Losing interest? Not really, I still want to watch it. TBH I've rarely had the ability to take a weekend where I can just sit down and watch the full quali and then the full race, that's a lot of hours out of a weekend... But at the same time I am not pleased to only watch Highlights!

I think the change in times is the problem. It almost always used to be on at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday, now I never know when its on.
At least 3 hours after every BBC News outlet has broadcast the results of the session. I'm usually working while the F1's on and it's so frustrating to try and follow it when they cut out chunks. I wish they at least indicated when they were going to skip sections so I didn't keep finding myself confused at how things had suddenly changed and wondering whether I'd missed anything or they'd cut something out.

I thought I'd lose interest in F1 with Sky getting half the races but it's easy to find a live feed on the internet, so there's no reason to miss anything. And it's quite good fun taking the p*ss out of Sky's appalling coverage.
Sky's coverage really is excellent you know!! I understand why people don't want to pay but it doesn't take away the fact the channel is actually very good. But odd though when you see jake and the others in the back ground. Feel like I'm cheating on them.

I think this is why some people seem to not want to give sky a chance to get into the swing of things. But odd though when you see jake and the others in the back ground. Feel like I'm cheating on them.
