The only thing I really want to watch on the telly & used to be unhappy about the coverage, ie set it on sky plus & it would begin on lap 20 or miss the last 5 laps etc
Ill never complain again if/when it comes back on

Been trying to avoid the media for the last few weeks so as not to spoil it, this used to be difficult to do one week behind, now its impossible

Thats awful though. Why can they not be competant enough to update the listings properly. I missed it as a result.

I forgot all about it, was channel hopping and it was almost halfway through the last race. Never mind, I read Perth was a better race anyway. Wonder what disguise it's under on Tuesday!

Should fans really have to trawl through hours of TV flicking to find a race disguised as a lesser known series?
V8's is the flagship and they cant even list the damn thing. They annoy me beyond belief!!

Just watched the first Philip island race.

How did Van Gis hang on to that. Just how. Felt bad for David Reynolds as he was looking very quick. Great to see 5 fords at the front. I hope Sundays race is just as good. I think we need more geese at these events

I don't even know what it's listed under for Tuesday or when. All that's in the planner (when I checked) was next weekend's Phillip Island coverage.

Getting bored of Motors messing about now. Anyone know when this is actually on TV again as I've missed the last race completely now.

Just been in convo w/ Motors TV on Twitter, tomorrow night's coverage from Perth is at 6.25pm and the EPG will "be updated to reflect this".

Perhaps if they spent more time on their listings and less on twitter there wouldnt be this issue!

The council wasn't prepared to keep fronting up with the cash to host it ( a rare example of council shortsightedness ), V8Supercars had to step in for last years race ( I think it was '11 ) to back/ guarantee the event.

It is probably going to go back to Pukekohe as the catchment area ( Auckland ) is far larger crowd wise. It would in an ideal world go to Hampton Downs ( halfway between Auckland and Hamilton ), but there would be regulatory nightmares involved with that circuit, and V8Supercars don't want anymore said nightmares ( it has happened in the past ).

Isn't the choice more about corporate facilities and money etc? Hampton Downs is a brand new FIA Cat-2 circuit. Taupo should be well up to the required level too (it had a big upgrade for A1GP) but is a bit further from cities. Pukekohe on the other hand is a bit past it IMO.

They will have to invest in the facilities at Pukekohe, this didn't really seem to be a deal breaker though.

Hampton Downs is the best option ( Taupo amongst other things lacks accommodation ), but the resource consent issues regarding traffic would be a headache Cochrane doesn't want a bar of, and I can't blame him.
