Red Bull declared illegal.....
Discussion
I suspect there is a little bit of ar$e covering going on.
FIA scrutineers passed an illegal car for several races, including Monaco.
The other teams spotted the illegality and told the FIA.
FIA and all the teams agreed that the best result for everybody would be to allow the most prestigious race in F1 to proceed with the understanding the car would be modified by the next race.
Can you imagine the embarassment if RB (with their massive corporate presence at Monaco) had been disqualified before the race?
If they were disqualified after the race they would have appealed that they were legal on Thursday, what's changed?

Read what Joe Saward has to say on the matter: http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2012/06/03/the-red-...FIA scrutineers passed an illegal car for several races, including Monaco.

That's funny
you got a problem.....................basically they won by gaining an advantage

ideally they should mandate exhausts exiting behind the diffuser and rear wing.
Amen to that......Although bets on who would introduce a sodding great Brabham-type KERS battery powered fan blowing the diffuser/wing(If Mr Newey is reading this my patent is available for a modest sum!)

RB should have been punished for winning with an illegal car
No they didn't..................It was leagal when they won, now it isn't, simples........................
RB have a decision to make. Do they present a car they know will fail scrutineering, or do they modify the hole into a slot and pass scrutineering?
For the sake of everybody in F1, I reckon there will be a modified RB on the grid next GP, rather than an unmodified one in the garage.
