Some good footage on the BBC website of Lewis' first win at Canada, and Jenson's dramatic victory last season. Still can't quite believe the muppets at the BBC aren't televising this race live.
When is practice? normally enjoy ignoring my work on a Friday and reading the web updates... I guess it's much later right?Radio Five Live Extra are covering PRACTICE 2 only today... possibly because of Football or Tennis Coverage meantime :~

BBC don't want it because it interferes with Antiques Roadshow and Countryfile I suspect. Sunday afternoons are much better for them as they show F1 instead of some crappy old film.
Saw a quote that said Massa will be taking much of his Monaco setup to Canada as he feels he can drive the car when its set up like that, so he may be able to redeem himself yet..
I doubt it, more likely because the Beeb's first 3 choices would've been:Saw a quote that said Massa will be taking much of his Monaco setup to Canada as he feels he can drive the car when its set up like that, so he may be able to redeem himself yet..

Betting value. There's value out there if you check first.
Those who fancy betting say Hamilton or Alonso eachway for the win should check the odds for a podium which are sometimes far better value than the place odds 1-2-3 in each way betting. For example, current betting favourite Hamilton with UK bookies is generally available @ 7-2 for the race win. That's three and a half to one for those less familiar with betting odds. Each way 1/5 the odds a place means he's only 7-10 for a podium. Ten quid gets you seventeen back for the place. Whereas a seperate Podium bet on Hamilton is available @ Even money ...1-1 ... That's a twenty quid return for the same tenner if he reaches the top three.
This is also true of several other fancied runners so you'll be wise to check these things carefully.
So, before the wheels turn for Practice 1 kicking off about 1500 UK time, who's your money going on for the win?
Purely on my gut feeling and law of avergaes that he must be due a change of luck for the better, at this stage I fancy a small each way wager on the old man of the tracks. MSC showed some good form in Monaco. I expect both Mercs and Lotus cars to show well in Canada.
Soon, we shall see.

About time he done something useful!
He's killing my fantasy F1 this year!
Lotus, Jenson and Red Bull/Webber better do well. Canada's my joker race Somehow Renault engines and the Lotus chassis have done well this year, mostly, but I seem to be getting chuff all points from a weekend. He's killing my fantasy F1 this year!

Jenson, Grosjean, and Renault engines doing well could turn my season around
I'm 2/3's there with that, I need to half replace Grosjean with Kimi as I just need Lotus to do well, and I need a few more results from Maaark Webber maaate. The ideal is Lotus as a whole doing well to be fair, few 1-2's would be nice

...If the BBC have their three for six seasons it stands to reason that Sky have fixed their three for six seasons too.
Sky have all the races live so why would they have 'picked' anything? Gaz. said:

Everyone is looking up at the sky and expecting rain in FP2.
Ferrari's out with flow-viz over the rear wings, Red Bulls out with TV aerial sensors in front of the left sidepod and rear (Vettel).
Vettel also has a new camera box on his roll hoop, not sure if Redbulls own or testing new HD tracking cam (maybe) for FOM.
Much standing about and crossing of arms from others.
