Can't see a Canadian GP thread yet so I thought I'd start one.If there should be an official thread them maybe the moderators can delete.
Not too long to go now as F1 returns to Canada this weekend and I can't wait, especially if it turns out half as good as last years epic. Could we see a seventh winner this season, surely it must be Hamilton's turn?

I think it is Di Resta's turn to win in the tyre lottery.

Hence the spoiler tag is put there from the get go, to stop people complaining that they wandered into a motoring forum, went to the motorsports us forum, and clicked a thread about a race that is ongoing, or finished, then complain about finding out the result. It is done will all the race threads. It really should not be a surprise to you.

Is it time for an impressive Hamilton win where he shows why he is the second coming of senna, or some lesser mortal winning only because of the joke tyres? I might think it might just be.

Can't believe the BBC aren't showing this one live, it's a really good track. We've got such delights as Singapore, Korea and Abu Dhabi to look forward to instead.

He's had a bit of a mixed fortune at Canada in the past, he's won both races he has finished but been not classified for the other two. I have a feeling this will be his event.

Due to the high speeds and the need for good traction out of the slow corners here, I'm going to say that it'll be a Schumacher/Rosberg/Raikkonen/Grosjean/Maldonado/Senna win.

It's going to be just the one DRS zone this time which seems more sensible to me: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/100123Autosport said: Montreal will feature just one DRS detection zone this weekend, instead of the two it had for the 2011 event won by Jenson Button.
The zone will become active after Turn 10 and will begin 600 metres before the braking zone for Turn 13. It has also been shortened by 50 metres since last year and is now a total of 600m long.
It was reduced in length after it was considered too easy to overtake through the section in last year's race.
The second DRS zone on the start-finish line has now been dropped.

Not only that, but the highlights programme on BBC1 is 60 whole f king minutes long. That will also be including build-up and post race. OK, if you're prepared to watch the highlights on BBC3 they are on for longer, but they are being shown at stupid o'clock FFS!

Well if the Mclown pit crew have anything to do with it, it don't be neither lewis nor Jenson.

E30M3SE said: Karakayan(sp) on more than DiResta? Yes, but a lot of those salaries, particularly the drivers bringing sponsorship like Maldonado, Senna, Pic, Grosjean, Perez etc will be a proportion of their sponsorship being paid back to them as salary (commission fror bringing budget to the team) Di Resta will be on a long term escalator contract with Mercedes Benz as part of his F3, to DTM, to McLaren or Mercedes journey. I don't think we need to worry about him being underpaid compared to Narain and co who are finding their budgets every year
