This would be beyond incredible.
But it won't happen...
It would cost £100million to make the road surfaces in London even remotely suitable for running an F1 car!

Pentonville straight, Scrubs chicane, Holloway bend.
No wonder Bernie's behind it.

Not sure that I agree with the 'It needs to happen' phrase. Why does it need to happen & why does everything need to happen in London? Why not in BIrmingham, LIverpool, Manchester etc etc? Oh yeah. I know. Because London is the greatest place on earth & if London cannot have it no-one else can. That is the attitude that partly stopped the Super Prix because the so called 'big wigs' in London didn't like the idea of somewhere else upstaging their precious CIty. It won't happen & can you honestly see Bernie digging deep nt his pockets to pay the event himself? Also if it went ahead which traditional GP circuit would loose their race to make for it? Silverstone, Spa, Monza, Monaco? Let's be honest - straight choice. Spa or London for a GP outing? Which would anyone go for? London? Not a chance. So, Bernie, shut the f k up with your headlining grabbing nonsense because we all know that you don't pay for anything when it comes to F1!!!

The Monopoly Grand Prix of London.
Oh no, wait... Bernie would have to avoid the "Go to Jail" space...

Oh no, wait... Bernie would have to avoid the "Go to Jail" space... He'd still find a way to collect £200 (Million of course!) M.

This would be awful. Why are people so obsessed with seeing f1 cars in particular settings? Back to the old great circuits that actually allow good racing I say, none of this modern contrived circuit rubbish.

Mutley said: Ah, Bernies annual lets detract from Silverstone in the build up to the British GP Totally agree, just tyring to distract from Mr E's lack of tax payments to the inland revenue, we also have a F1 race in GB - Silverstone and I appreciate Ernie is no fan of silverstone but he could chuck more dollars at the circuit and improve ths race, facilities etc.

Here we go again. More sabre rattling from Bernie in the weeks leading up to the British GP. He does this every now & again just to screw more money from SIverstone. It will never happen & he would never foot the bill himself. As I said on another thread - Bernie never pays for anything when it comes to F1. He ensures that it is he who gets paid. So shut the f k up Bernie & stop trying to do your best to de-stabilise SIlverstone. Give them some much needed support for a change. Idiot. IMO.

Clearly a diversionary tactic - I cannot see the City of London wanting to shut down the busiest and richest parts of town for 3-4 days - it's not really practical is it?
Then there's the cost of surfacing and guarding the 'track' - the small matter of removing statues in Whitehall perhaps - and so on...
Cobblers - expensive cobblers too.

It's his usual attempt to de-stabilise SIlverstone. Note that only now, 10 days before the Britsh GP, does the odious little man decide to give himself more publicity by resurrecting this laughable idea idea of a GP in London. Why not do it the week after the British GP? Because if he did he wouldn't be able to wind up the SIlverstone management would he? The man is an idiot.
