Best I have heard of a CoC was one day whilst looking out from their vantage point they spotted a well built lady marshal and proclaimed. “Oh. Don’t bother wrapping it, I’ll take it as it is!” not sure anyone in RC could keep a straight face for the rest of the day.

I'm sure the BRSCC are still doing a Clerks training program, but the 750MC are also looking out to train future Clerks too.
There are a surprising number of racers and ex-racers who are Clerks of Course, so not just the progression via Marshalling.
