You would go back and delete the previous tweets, wouldn't you?
Yes, but then you would be accused of hiding things from those who posted screenshots on websites. He shouldn't have said it but is now between a rock.....SomeMinorTrouble said:
Hamilton needs to stay away from twitter. That was slightly dense of him
For somebody who uses it a lot, Lewis isn't very media savvy. It was pointed out a while ago that JB was no longer following him, until it was also pointed out that JB had never followed Lewis!
You'd think that somebody would keep him in the loop on such things, even if only to stop him from scoring such huge own goals.

Even if he didn't follow him, he takes it far too seriously. He immediately assumed Jenson didn't like him which shows he's not quite in the right mind. I think that's quite a telling of what's going on at McLaren. You'd think that somebody would keep him in the loop on such things, even if only to stop him from scoring such huge own goals.
Who gives a st about twitter? Is LH really bothered as to whether JB follows him or not? I like LH, at least I used too, however I don't follow him or anyone else on Twitter because I don't use it!
There is enough crap written on facebook as to what people do every day without the same st being written on Twitter.
FFS Lewis. Grow up. Fast becoming a knob IMO.

Imo this is what is affecting him on track - lewis really seems to be more bothered with how popular / famous he is than how fast he is. It's a pity, because if instead of doing the unfair / noone is being nice to me act, he just grew up a little and acted like a sound bloke for a change, everyone would like him. He's a legend on track, but in interviews / on team radio / most of all on twitter he comes accross as a bit of a needy whinger, a bit like the middle sister in downton abbey...

I find twitter pretty useful if used correctly because you can use it how you like. I follow only about 5 people I know and they don't post crap. I then follow lots of F1 related people, motorsport people and musicians because they are my interests. If you need to find out some obscure news it will be on twitter before anywhere else.MSTRBKR said:

I think it just shows how emotionally immature he can be. As much as a am a fan of Lewis on track, it's incidents like this that suggest to me he doesn't have the necessary skills to "do a Schumacher" at Mercedes like he intends.let's face it, 99% of the people on twitter make complete cocks of themselves...
last week we had Ashley Cole, this week, Lewis, every day Stephen Fry, the list is endless..
let's face it, twitter is a totally pointless ego-driven sad reflection of society's values in much the same way Facebook is.
what's even sadder is that marketeers seem to think it's the great way forward, remember the Lewis Hamilton secret agent bks? IMHO that made him out to be a total tt.
I would rather they were all following Kimi's example of how to deal with fame and publicity

THis in sharp contrast to JB who is quite happy in his own skin- although he needed a WDC to achieve this. What does LH need?
Could all this be why JB has integrated into Maclaren quicker than people expected? have his colleagues found his easier to work with? Schuey was king for so many years because (amongst other things) we was fully integrated into the engineering team- there was clearly no "us and them" whilst he was there. Vettel seems to manage this too- his team clearly loves him.
If LH seeks to fully exploit his natural talent then he has quite some growing up to do.

I think it possibly shows why they've let him walk to Mercedes.heebeegeetee said:

I don't think they did, they matched Mercs (very high) offer.I'd suggest they had already planned for his replacement and weren't really all that bothered if he walked or not.
