Lol at buttons interview there. "Er that's what we are going to do, (I just told you dummy!) "

Also what the jiff is that georgie woman wearing. Got dressed in the dark this morning? (Better than the horrible skin coloured outfits she's worn in the past, still)

On a side note. I thought ignoring the way hay manoeuvre which put him out, Perez looked really fighty today.

"I kept my line" - Grosjean

That's why you crash on the first lap all the time, idiot.

Like a baying mob, or 3 guys in the pub. All mouth no trousers.
I don't know your direct F1 racing experience - but I'd suspect it's the same as mine, ie nothing.

I don't think you can regard comments from Brundle or Herbert as "all mouth, no trousers" - they've worn the trousers many, many times.

Agree entirely. "All mouth no trousers" seems to ignore the fact these guys have out their lives on the line in these cars.

I guess I used the wrong analogy. I was trying to get at the way they start ganging up after one guy speaks up then they all chime in. Akin to those times in the pub where everyone's drunk and a little friction starts and then people start gangin up but then it doesn't get out of control because no one really wants to put themselves out to start something.

Ie I johnny et al feel so strongly about the chaps poor driving get on down there have word. Just like they were saying should be done. You got two old F1 heads there, they surely have a wealth of experience to share with the lad.

Lazenby is such a poor interviewer. I think he may well be on a par with Jim Rosenthal.
He is horrendous isn't he, actually makes me want to switch off the coverage frown
Switch over and watch Jake then? Oh...

Irrespective of experience, one man's opinion on "poor" driving is another's pure "racer". Frequently the case here on PH and elsewhere depending on bias. Only the names are changed depending on that bias and irrespective of true situation there are those who will always be strongly of the opinion that their man is never to blame. Always the other guy.

I don't see how you can apply that comment(however accurate about driver discussions here in general) to Grosjean's incident today, or at any of the races at which he's fudged the start. The cold hard fact is he's crap at the start and often crashes. This has nothing to do with him being a "pure racer".

Aftermath.... consider this. How loud would the outcry have been here on PH if it was RG's Lotus which came into contact with FA's Ferrari and not one of PH's favourites ? Controversial wink ... Oooo~er ... don't go there... hehe
I think it'd have been the same regardless. The bloke's showing himself to be a liability yes
Exactly - totally the same. Sorry, nothing to stir up MGJ. Webber is well respected on here, as indeed, is Alonso these days too. We're not Italian.

Did Lazenby really just say "what am I doing here?"?
If so, I've been wondering the same for a while!

Yup. Looks like he was waiting with Vettel, and they ran the VT. Probably trying to find out if he is doing the interview or not.

Times change and no two scenarios are ever the same but, in the past other drivers have done much the same to a greater or lesser extent and have been excused by some for being a 'racer'. Compared to those who drive the percentages as a safer competitor who finishes and scores points.

When A Senna said or wrote that you are NOT a racer if you never seize every opportunity to go for a gap it was admired. Not by me I might add. Driving blind in the spray of a car in front or worse and taking both or more out I never will find admirable. Several drivers in the past have done just that and they were accused only of being ... racers.
