So we are well into the season and we have had a chance to watch both sky and the BBC. Which coverage do you prefer?
For me its the BBC. I can't stand the tool who fronts sky!

I don't have Sky but voted for liking both because I have seen 3 live races on Sky and their coverage is not too bad. Plus they do have Brundle, which is their biggest asset.
If EJ and Jake moved to Sky their team would be perfect.

I don't have Sky now but when I did I even preferred the ITV Football coverage to that of Sky's. The Grandiose self importance and trivial content of the coverage produced by them is so annoying.

Both. The BBC has the familiar faces you are used to, which is hard to compete with, but sky has some very good technical programs that Brundle seems to enjoy doing, as well as more historical stuff as well, (old races, the legends segment, and so on). They both get the same feed, so all square on that score.
Commentary, both are OK. I prefer listening to Brundle, than DC, so like sky's commentary, but one is no better than the other.

BBC at the moment but I don't like the direction it's going in... rumours of even more of the crew moving on/defecting to Sky.

I wonder how many will vote for reasons other than the actual coverage?

Sky coverage is generally pretty pants. Lots of it, but pretty low quality. They just can't hold a candle to BBC production.
Also, Lazenby has no soul. I said as much on Twitter recently, and he followed me. Very weird.

BBC is far better for me. Sky has its fancy graphics, but i can't stand Lazenby.
The big worry is who BBC are going to get in for next season to replace Jake Humphrey, cause he's off to host Premiership football on BT.

If EJ and Jake moved to Sky their team would be perfect. Given that Jake is leaving the BBC to front football on BT Vision that seems unlikely. EJ is the reason I voted Sky.

I prefer the BBC coverage as I think the sky coverage is too "Football Focus" derived for me, its too in your face techy.
But I voted for sky, because poor coverage is better than no coverage, which is the case half the time with the BBC.

In terms of the races I cannot really choose between the two.
Much of the difference in the build up for Sky is just tinsel and shiney things rather than anything of actual substance though.
ETA: Based on watching 3 on Sky, so there may be more I have missed where something amazing did go down.

For me its Sky- because I can see it all live and Brundle is easy on the ear....
That said its not perfect- Lazenby needs to be fired pronto and the shouty twonk with Brundle in commentary can't be far behind him IMO.
If they need more budget the Sky Pad nonsense can go too, the bint isn't bad but serves no real purpose.
Still dissapointed at the beeb for the whole affair- can't blame Sky for picking up a dropped ball, its not perfect but its better than nothing.

Well, can't vote for something that doesn't exist, so it has to be Sky.
People like to hate Sky, but don't forget it was the BBC that handed them F1 gift-wrapped on a gold platter.
They've done well too - they scooped up all the best bits of the BBC team, except for Jake, and added to it. I don't think it is as good as the BBC was the last 2 years, but it is better than nothing.

I never get why people don't like EJ. What's not to like? He adds an extra dimension in that he's a former team owner, so it's not just ex-drivers presenting as it is on Sky (and Sky employ plenty of ex-managers in their football coverage).

I don't really mind anymore. I'll watch it on BBC for the HD (I cant get sky F1 HD on virgin media) But i enjoy the F1 shows on Sky.. And they show season reviews.. Crofty is just too shouty now though His screeching voice is just s t! Shame as he was fantastic on 5live.

Both are fine, I'm still not sold on the sky lead presenter but I certainly don't dislike him. However I would prefer everything to be on BBC so I don't have to go online to watch the F1, and wouldn't have to pay a premium to watch it.
BTW how much motorsport is actually available on sky as when I last looks it all seemed to be on espn etc which would require another subscription!
