Will he be in F1 next year?

His driving style might be better suited to the BTCC wink

He's quick, but has made a few relatively innocuous mistakes which have had large consequences for other drivers.

He's driving no worse, imo, than vettel in parts of 09 and 10.

It would be a real shame to lose him.

He might not be, but all this furore over Grosjean is bks. Other drivers have been as bad as him incident wise, see at various points of Schumachers career including his attack on Vergne in Singapore.
Yes Grosjean is impetuous, but given the right environment and nurturing, he could be a fantastic racer

I don't think it is the incidents themselves, but the quantity of them.

Maybe, but he isnt the first and he wont be the last. Before his second F1 career, Schuey was adept at manouvering people out of his way, yet nobody gave a st because he was the great Schumacher. No doubt there will be others who come along and have similar bumpy careers to Grosjean

I think he is just freezing in the vital moments; so the question is perhaps does he deserve to be in F1?

The answer to that is an emphatic No!

But, he is French, in a Renault powered team, so I guess he will be forgiven by them, and in the end, it is only their opinions that will count.

He's not as high a risk as Maldanado. Mald seems to have intent.

Which is why i said he would benefit from being nurtured in the right environment, but sadly for Romain i dont think he will get that in F1

When you are on your second chance in the sport, and keep on making the same mistakes you have to think that it wont be long till he is dropped, and rightly so!

Pastor is the same, he has cost his team so many points and so much money, it must nearly out weigh the win?

The incident with Weber was pure touring car style, he just kept his foot in ramming Weber out of his way ! Such a shame as he is good, but needs to have a year out, mainly to take the microscope off him.

A seemingly slight but important point, Maldo plans it Gros just drives into it......

and in that situation it's probably Grosjean who's more of a risk. He doesn't seem to realise he's about to crash, unlike Maldonado who is probably doing some kind of evil bond villain laugh in his helmet when he does it.

But he's only really been at fault in 3 of them, all of which he's copped to.

He's being made out to be the latest villain and everyone is jumping on a bandwagon. I daren't go and read the autosport forum.. they are probably asking for him to be burnt at the stake.

Controversial bit:
Webber didn't help himself. Witness Lewis and Perez - Lewis knew the corner was lost, so kept in neat and tidy.
Mark was slow out of the corner and knew it and came across swiftly. Given that Grosjean was going in too hot he would of run wide/had some sort of drama on exit, so why not give him the width of a nose space ?
Not saying Webber was at fault but he could of made life a bit easier for himself imho. He's well known for the chop and whinging to the press when things don't go his way.

I'd also say look at the speed Grosjean was getting out of the car - better than Kimi could do in the same equipment.

But why wait for him to seriously hurt or kill someone ( potentiallly ) best to sort it now

I agree, it should be the FIA who resolve this by withdrawing his super-license. My worry is that it will be left to market forces and Renault will keep him.

They do only amount to millseconds of madness, but he does not seem to know how to get out of the situations instictively - he just freezes.

3 fault accidents in a year and you want his superlicense taken away ?

Seriously ?

Pastor had that in a weekend, shall we take his ?
Vettel and Webber managed to run in to each other whilst going flat out, shall we take theirs too ?
Rosberg forced Lewis off track at full tilt, his as well ?

Erm ... Kobyashi was not so clever when he first came to F1. The learning curve is steep and look where he finished today. The past is quickly forgotten.

Will he be in F1 next year ? Probably not but maybe in 2014

It’s a shame really as he has so much potential. GP2 Champion etc
But i cant see him being retained for next year.
He already lost out in 2009,this year was his best chance to show what he could do.
Just seems like he has gained a reputation as a crasher now (not easy to shake off)

Doing so after Eric Boullier said that he learnt an important lesson following his ban is just embarrassing.
