Looking forward to it. Hopefully it gets settled on the track and the politics get put aside.

Hoping for a JP win as I'm a biased little fanboy.

I agree with Doogz, I would call that defending to be honest!

I know the lap you were referring to, and Shedden was struggling with tyres, but wanted to hold on. It was firm but fair I think.

Decadence - there is a difference between 'I don't want MG to win' (fair enough) and 'Biased little Plato fanboys' (pointless and provocative personal insults)

We understand you don't like Plato, and as a professional I am sure he is able to take that sort of thing on the chin. But please, for the sake of at least a relatively broad sense of harmony on here try and disist from insulting people based on who their favourite driver happens to be.

(Not telling you what you can or can't say, merely asking you).

I drive an MG and I like Plato so I would prefer him to win but I also think Flash is fully deserving of a Championship the way he has driven over the last few years.

I'll be there to cheer on Jason and the MG team but also to applaud whoever comes out on top at the end of the season.

So long as Alan Gow doesn't wield the boost reduction stick on Matt Jackson, i think the rest will be playing catch up to him...if he keeps same boost as Silverstone...

Who knows what Gow will concoct, for sure he wont want Honda back where they were at Silverstone so he will fiddle with that a bit, you never know he may even give all cars the baseline boost and let them get on with it...
Gow can literally pick and chose where he wants the cars to be there or there abouts by messing with boosts. So maybe get Wrathall back up there by increasing his boost as he can challenge for a podium again...
All depends on what the puppet master wants i suppose.

I don't actually give a toss who wins the title, unless Matt Neal wins it...

Just want some clean racing (little chance of that me thnks), no arguing (no chance at all of that not happening) & for every to leave Brands Hatch in a happy mood with no recriminations (absolutely no chance of that happening!).

And also no bhing on PH before, during & after would be good but, again, we know that won't happen either!

Some people like Jason Plato some dont. Some people like Matt Neal some don't, some people like Gordon some dont & there is probably someone out there who even likes Andy Neate!

At the end of the day who, honestly, gives a flying fk anyway?

It's just a motor race isnt it & no one will give a toss at the end of the year!

One final point - if Plato is not a good driver/racer how come he has won so many BTCC races? Can't have lucked into winning them all can he?

I want Shedden to win, he's been the best to watch this year and he's got to be due.

Also can't we have one BTCC thread that doesn't revolve around whether JP is good or evil? Isn't the guy's head big enough already?

Agree with both of those - it's about time Shedden had a bit of luck.

I was with you right up until you mentioned everyone's favourite banger racer, surely he doesn't have any fans left by now.....

I've booked the Sunday and Monday off work, proper lads day planned and I can't wait.

I hope Plato wins, not only am I a fan but I think it will be great for MG.... might even get a sale or 2 of the back of it.

I just hope they are good races, I like a bit of 'argy bargy' on track but I don't want it to turn into an all out banger race......... mind you, if that happened hen Neate might win a race thumbup

I'll start a book on who Andy Neate will crash into at Brands.

I'm going with Aron Smith in Race 1 and Wookie in Race 3.

If my race 3 predicition actually happens I'm hoping the director will catch the moment Wookie lumps Neate. hehe

How about the perfect storm - Neate and James take each other out, race 2......

Those two are made for each other, in fact how have they not clashed already?

He's an amazing touring car driver, even more reason why its sad he has to get the rules fiddled with and also sad why he has to suggest a young promising driver like Smith should lose his licence... its not Jason driving skills or achievements thats in question...its his motives and his underhand tactics and hypocrisy i question.
Its like John Terry hes a bl00dy good footballer....but hes a living bellend.

That'll double their sales.

Personally I hope Matt Jackson has a good day. But I'm biased I've known Bartman a long time.

Dear Decadence,
It doesn't matter how many times you say this, it still wont be true (and you know it). JP may well moan about his and others relative levels of boost, but thats what it is - moaning and I guess trying to explain why he is or isn't on the pace of his rivals. A bit like Lewis Hamilton feeling the need to 'tweet' sensitive data from the team to justify why he couldn't match his team mates pace.
The boost adjustments are made in accordance with an agreed (with the teams)formula, based on the cars performance over the previous two race weekends, NOT on a whim by Alan Gow (thats how it was done LAST year!!)
So PLEASE leave it, and move on - your constant droning on about this is seriously putting me (and I would think others) off of even reading these threads, let alone contributing. And yes, you are allowed to tell us your opinion, no problem with that BUT ONCE IS ENOUGH, you do seriously sound deranged at times.

So, for what its worth, my opinion is that the Hondas have been massively hard done by for doing a top class job - I am not a fan of Matt Neal and am ambivalent towards Gordon Shedden, but on balance Honda deserve to be champions, much as it pains me to say so.

If Plato gets the title you would like to think MG jump on the opportunity to sell a 'hot' MG6?

I will be getting a free ticket for this and will be there with 3 mates.

One mate is lending me his fancy camera which he wants me to buy off him so my pics

should hopefully be better than usual poor efforts.

As for a prediction.

Last races of the year,i predict a lot of shells in the bin Monday morning.

That would be an ideal thing to happen, might just jump start the brand. MG's, although not even slightly British anymore, are still built in Britain and any good press wouldn't go amiss.

They should try letting people know you can buy one for only £15k new. It's quite a bargain.
