Yes, fair comment, Mark. But it was getting difficult to get hold of people who drove the car latterly. John Watson was one (1 race), Brian Henton obviously and Jim Crawford, but he passed on before we got to him.
I am still looking into the possibility of going to the US in the New Year and filming an interview with Ronnie Peterson's mechanic, apparently he has a ton of good stories.

Chassis R9, methinks. Classic Team Lotus also retain chassis R5, which was mainly Emerson's car from 1970 - 1973.

......have just been told that my Lotus 72 documentary is up for a few repeat showings on Motors TV in August starting at 8pm on the 25th with repeats on the 27th and 28th (6.25pm and 8pm) and maybe a few more across the following days. If you haven't seen it, try and catch it.

earlier this week I filmed an interview with former Gold Leaf Team Lotus mechanic Doug Garner, he was on the 1968 Lotus Indy 500 team, then moved across to the F1 team until 1971.
In this pic he checks a couple of dates before we rolled the cameras.
