What is your Favourite all time GT car?

Hmmm, hard, so many great GTs,
Alfa Romeo TZ2, lightness over power, Also pretty. Only 620kg, which means it can be put in a small lift!
Ill go for a more modern one, Maserati Granturismo MC GT3.
Raced with Swissteam in Superstars GT, now being homologated properly in GT3 through Maserati.
Rather impressive results.

Do you mean the purple coloured model raced in the 1997 or 1998 FIA GT Series? I think it was called a Bitter? Was a shocking car and set a light a lot.
Some of the Lotus GT1 cars were pretty tidy just lack of funding compared to a CLK GTR , Porsche , F1 GTR. Etc.
He probably means the proper Elise GT1 that the Bitter was based on. Wonderful looking car, shame it just didn't really work. Saw a solid silver one (not sure if it was a road version?) on a flat bed (no surprise there) at Le Mans a few years ago. Some of the Lotus GT1 cars were pretty tidy just lack of funding compared to a CLK GTR , Porsche , F1 GTR. The last time I saw Dan's Mantis out in 2006 Dutch Super Cars.

And a couple of shots of these is LM600s out in the BPR Series in 1996.

Im a lover of the big bang GT1 Cars.
the macca and the lister being my favourites..
the panoz bat mobile was just a monster ( saw that at lm and daytona) and the gt1 vipers awesome.
the original porker Gt1 edged it for me over the later evo, and the merc was a bit late.
if i had to pick one I'd probably go for the Lister Storm..
I'd prefer to see Le Mans going back to the GT1 style cars rather than the diesel protos
The Storm was the type of car that seemed to sum up everything that was great about GT racing in the earlier years. the macca and the lister being my favourites..

If only we could have seen GT cars allowed to be more competitive with unlimited engine capacity and no restrictors instead of the rule makers,as usual, going backwards.

The problem as in everything else which seems to apply to cars is that the racing organisers seem to have allowed themselves to be taken over by the PC lot wanting ever more regulation and smaller engines.Instead of what it should be of open regs just so long as the cars are based on GT types that the manufacturers have available on the market. As far as I know there's nowhere now,at least in FIA sanctioned events, where anyone can see the big Astons racing in any series even in 6 Litre, let alone in possible 7 Litre + form. The same seems to apply in the case of the Corvettes and Ferraris etc.

Is there any race series that runs what I call the modern classic GT cars such as the F40, Venturi, A610, Vipers, F1, etc from the BPR era? Would love to see some of those on track again.
No race series as such that I know of but there is a 'revival' BPR demonstration at Paul Ricard Circuit on 5th October during the Historic race meet there - however how many cars attend will be a different matter....Hopefully be attending with a friends original 1996 Lotus Esprit GT1 - there just to show (she's not running - yet!)
Anybody else attending?
Steve
The Prodive 550 GTS. The noise that thing makes is fantastic! Also love the 550 road car so that has something to do with it I suppose.
I used to live in Zandvoort so I was at the track quite literally every day (After school I drove my quad there as there was something on most days...if there wasn't I went offroading in any case!). One of the days a big truck rolled up as always, but it was the first one there. My friend asked me what car it was and I confidently said Viper, but the owner (Cor Euser as he turned out to be)told me it was Marcos. He let us sit in it after he rolled it out. Pretty cool thing to do for a couple of 9 year olds!
Also love the Mosler and Murcielago.
