I really dont think there is anything wrong with his leg now, despite that he says its worse than it was in Japan.

Unfortunately i can no longer find the video on the BBC website, but if you saw his crash in qualifying, he gets up and walks away perfectly normally, no limp, nothing! The video briefly goes to his pit crew, then as the video goes back to him he is now limping badly again!
Honestly, I had to read that twice . . . Unbelievable.

Greg, what are you suggesting ? he didn't mind risking his neck prior to the accident (& again in Oz & Valencia) but he didn't want to win the championship so decided to take 3 races off ?

No Capito ? confused

Did you ever read the stories of guys very badly injured in war etc, who manage to walk/run away from something only to discover later they have a broken leg or whatever.

Never underestimate the power of adrenalin. . . I reckon this weekends stunning performance may have owed something to a dose of that. I agree he has sometimes come across as a wingeing Ozzy, but ( Damn cute Missus aside lick ) he seems a regular guy, & he rides like the Devil (surely what matters the most). Hope he enjoys to the full whatever he turns his hand to next.

Never underwood the disliking of Stoner. Can he ride a bike? The only one who has tamed the Ducati, an awesome talent. Retiring far too early, but one does respect his decision, with a wife and baby maybe the recents deaths have affected him? Would love to see him in a V8 Supercar.

And we're left with what? Lorenzo, great rider, who now plays the percentages, which is fair enough. Team mate Rossi, has h still got it? But 2 boring identikit Spanish racers, in the same Repsol-Honda team - marvellous! Just what Dorna and Ezpeleto wanted.....

They should rename it the Spanish/ Mediterreanean MotoGP Championship....
I think Marquez is quite the tallent and will shake things up nicely at the front in MotoGP, I dont know or care about his off bike personality, but on it the lad can certainly ride and isnt shy of taking pretty big risks at times.

By far the best thing this year has been the Moto3 and Moto2 races, i look forward to them more than the MotoGP, there have been some epic races.

Whilst i dont wish harm on any human (ive been there with a bike injury, it smarts a bit), to expect anyone to do what he did this weekend is simply staggering and for anyone to dismiss it just beggars believe!

I think you've all missed the critical and most disappointing element of Stoner leaving.
Mrs Stoner isn't going to be around either !!

For his skills and pure speed I'll miss Casey, who wouldn't? TV personality not! and moaner yes I agree.

But for the spectator it's a dull series with limited factories and watching #27 bugger off it's isn't very exciting, yes it's up to the rest to up their game but for the punter like me it isn't jaw dropping like Moto3 and 2.

I am hoping next year with VR moving back onto a competitive bike, Marquez coming up it should spice things up.

Marco (RIP) would have mixed it up this year too I am certain.

You are being economical with the the evidence here!

This video only shows CS getting up after the fall. If you had watched quali you would have seen him favouring the right foot once he started walking. There was footage where he clearly hobbles away from the bike towards the fencing and then asks the marshalls which way to go prior to fetching his spare bike.

If he is as good as Lorenzo and Rossi, he will crash a lot in the first year and then after that he will be up there. Rossi and Lorenzo followed that patern.

I think Rossi has next year to win another title, but after that Marquez will be right up there and it will be too difficult. Watching Lorenzo ride, you can see he is as good as Rossi on the brakes However in a last lap battle you'd be a fool to not put money on the Dr smile

Anyways. I have never been a massive fan of Casey, but I will be sad to see him go. Watching him at Philip Island is fantastic smile

Lorenzo did, Stoner did and many others crqshed q lot in their first year. However Rossi neqrly took the title in his first year on the 500, crashes cost him ultimately, but not of the same order as the newer guys first years on the $ strokes.
