Just thought that I would resurrect these five pages of discussion on Senna and his attitude for (not so) old times sake.

You can kind of see where these discussions go.

I for one think his bad points outweigh his good points.

And the movie was a joke.

The movie was a joke? I think you will find that it was a interesting insight into a misunderstood man with lots of previously unseen footage.

A joke! Dear oh dear.

No it was utter turd. Subjective and selective interviews, huge "story" skipping sections and zero action. Massive missed opportunity. All that was left was emotion by yet another "Senna widow". Gutted I wasted my cash on the DVD when I have, circa, 160 full races on my HDD for free.

Nowhere near as remotely insightful as watching the real story unfold. Get some torrent software, download 1984-1994 seasons. Watch. Learn. Understand.

(posthumous Senna... appreciator)

The BBC's 45 minute documentary on his life was far more insightful - and honest.

One of the things i loved about Senna was his attitude. I think he just went a little ott with it at times.

I loved the film - Ok i agree it doesnt tell the full story but its a great film anyway.

In actual; fact, there were some good points to the film and some footage I hadn't seen before.

But on the whole, it was so incomplete that it actually told a false story - which is unforgivable in a documentary.

Criminal that the film left this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cu_uy3B_l7o

Also criminal was the handling of 1989 San Marino GP and only got a sentence from John Bisignano

The biggest neg about the film was Prost.

There is a truly awesome race, and decent enough chap.

Anyway - both are legends.
