Thanks everyone for the support and nice comments!

Thank you to Pistonheads, Autosport and Caterham for this great opportunity. I really can't wait to get in the car and try it out :-)

As it says in the story I will be updating the website with reports after each event. You can also follow me on twitter @DanLivingstone

Will be good to meet all of my Group 1 competitors soon and anyone attending an event should pop and say hi.

Thanks again
Hello mate

Good luck and it was lovely to meet you. I'll be in touch next week to get you insured smile

Congratulations, my early experience of crashing and hitting people up the arse in the 2005 Academy has served me well all the way to touring cars hehe

Congratulations, you'll have some real fun with that car!

I'm still waiting to get my Seven on a track, and I'd love to do the academy one day. Fantastic stuff!

How do you know we don't all look at PH at least 1,000 times per month?

You see, these are the sort of valuable ideas and info you get from your loyal gathering of car enthusiasts with nothing better to do hehe

Congrats. See you in grads next year then. A year in a free car will give you an itch so big you won't be able to resist scratching it.

Just out of interest, is it a free entry to the academy including everything needed to compete?

I remember when i looked into it many years ago the base price was quite attractive, but it was the extra cost of safety gear and trailer, then the ongoing cost of testing, fuel, accommodation, etc that really bumped up the cost.

Looking forward to keeping you all updated on my progress during the year.
