Well, had I bought a house next to a race track, there would be nothing to stop it and nor would I try.

What's to stop it in say Sandy, or any other village the A1 goes through? Usage of expensive assets will only ever increase. If you live near one and don't like that, then move and stop being so fking selfish. Ohhhhh but this bothers meeeee *mince* *mince* something must be doneeeeee. tts.
The A1 doesn't go through Sandy. It goes through the parish of Girtford. Sandy is further east.

And over the years there have been many protests and complaints from residents who chose to purchase houses on the side of the London to Thurso trunk road (aka the A1). That's why there are further speed restrictions all over the place along it. The 50mph limit through Beeston, and later Girtford, was brought in because of there still being pedestrians wishing to cross said thoroughfare. Even though alternative crossings have been in place for years, the limit hasn't been lifted (as they said it would), and revenue collection cameras have been installed.

Moving on to/back to Mallory Park, I would like to wish the new operators of the once "Friendly Circuit" (it was when the Overend Family ran it), all the very best of luck, and look forward to racing there once again in the future.
