The final total of signatures to the online petition was 12430. This remarkable result clearly shook B&H councillors to their roots, coupled with intelligent lobbying of key councillors and others by the B&H Motor Club, who are to be congratulated on an excellent outcome, which (as I understand it) secures the event's future for at least the next three years.

Perhaps this is an appropriate opportunity to look at the M1 speed limit threat - a proposal to lower the limit to 60mph. A similar campaign is needed now to combat that proposal. Off-topic here, but the thread is running elsewhere on this Forum.
