looks like no in car split times next year, with expulsion from the championship if you get caught!

Sounds good to me, I have always felt the drivers should just get on and drive the things!

Good to see Paddon confirmed with Hyundai again for at least 9 events next year, after considering an offer from Citroen as well.

Good choice by Paddon, there always seems to be quite a bit of uncertainty about how long Citroen will stay around in the WRC. He seemed to progress well in the few events he did last year, so hope to see that continue.

I also see the Rally New Zealand is looking to make a come back. The roads are stunning and have to be in the WRC, I would make the flight over if they can pull it off!

thumbup

It'll be at the opposite end of the country to me so I can't offer beers at my place, but I might have to head up and watch too.

And its looking more likely that there will be Toyotas hooning down those stages in a couple years time too!

Plenty of 2015 Monte Tarmac testing vids on YT. Looks as though JML has pranged one during his testing frown

There is no escape for the drivers these days, with social media spreading the news so quickly and easily!

I see Kubica has confirmed that he will be back in a Fiesta WRC, while Craig Breen will do the whole of the ERC and 7 WRC2 events. Lets just hope the 208 can now do more than one stage without breaking!!

Good to hear RK has decided to stay in the WRC, do we think that means he's in for the long haul on the basis of his comments leading up to Rally GB ?

Good to hear you've booked Sardinia. You seemed enthusiastic about NZ, have you spectated the WRC there ?

Hope everyone has had a great christmas!

Nope never been to NZ, only ever watched the brilliant, flowing roads from the comfort of my living room. Spectating there is definitely on the bucket list though!

I went in 2002, probably the easiest/best WRC spectating I've done.
Hilarious to listen to the locals bhing at the marshalls asking individuals to move. Their spectator control in 2002 was roughly equivalent to the UK's whilst spectating on the Kielder stages in the early hours of the RAC back in 1983 (ie almost non existent)
Epic stages, massively cambered, I "recce'ed" four out of the nine stages I spectated on over two days.
I'd say NZ and Finland are equal number one to spectate on. Both are brilliant.
