Wow! What a race!

Absolutely gutted for SVG, he was clearly the fastest guy out there.

Pretty sure Whincup could have won that if he'd conserved fuel earlier. Harsh penalty for Lowndes I thought.

The V8s just never fail to deliver. Got to be the best motorsport in the world right now. Just so so good to watch.

Certainly was a great race, and yet again delivered another barnstorming finish. What on earth was Whincup doing? "You've got 1.5 laps left, and only 1 lap of fuel..."

After watching that, the BTCC felt a little 'flat'....which is probably a bit harsh.

Agreed over CLs penalty, the guy he hit turned across him after he put it in the dirt! and I think he'd positioned himself perfectly for the win myself...

Just finished the highlights on Motors having watched the shootout and some of the race day preamble over the weekend.

Fantastic racing, brilliant finish - did Whincup have a radio problem, or did he think he knew better?

Thought he knew better, and going by the interviews afterwards still thinks he was right!

They shouted at him for 5 laps, he heard them and had he backed off even slightly he would have raced to the finish and - probably - won.

I'm glad he didn't.

Just saw the last 15 or so laps of this on a Motors TV highlights programme. Wow. Nevermind BTCC, it made most other racing look flat!
