Motors TV on Freeview!
Discussion
Would you agree though that something is better than nothing? As much as I enjoy the atmosphere at circuits no matter the weather, it really isn't practical for me to be in Australia one minutes watching V8 Supercars live and then after a quick coffee be watching ELMS from Paul Ricard.
I think some credit has to be given to Motors for their willingness to doggedly cater for a specialist market. Without them, there would be very little media coverage of quite a few series.

Motors are a French organisation, so do cover most things motorised.
What this means to me personally is that I will not be able to record WEC this year - great to come home from the race and re-watch. or V8s. I did enjoy the Andros trophy too.
I stayed with BTVision because of their broadcasting Motors on a proper channel, not via an App. If I wanted that, then I could stream direct to the TV. and Motors silence today says a lot about their contempt for their customers

Enjoy the sofa then- and enjoy watching what a director decides to show you. Wind and rain ? No problem- better than the decades I spent talking bks in office meetings I can tell you.
I realise reading back it sounds like I am against it, but I am 100% with you (Stood on the banks!). But yes, something is better than nothing and full credit to everyone involved that produces it all - From the WEC/V8s to the club level rallying or circuit stuff they show.

Aargh. Motors TV has now moved to Freeview channel 240, then you have to press the red button to wait for an app to load and play the channel online, so it needs an internet connection.
I can still get the channel, but this app stuff is a pain in the arse .
That is infuriating, I deliberately got a new box just last month to be able to finally watch it on channel 71 Sure, the box can also receive it on 240, but due to the layout of the room, we can't hook the box up to the internet without trailing a cable across a very frequently-used door. That's that then, unless there's any way round it with wifi trickery, wish I could ask them for a refund on the cost of my new box (not seriously, just frustrated!)I can still get the channel, but this app stuff is a pain in the arse .

Yes, I came online searching for MOTORS news as I've just had to retune everything due to the end of Freeview 71 Motors ... and I also used to record selected progs to watch at leisure - no more. Personally, it's currently the New Zealand Toyota singleseater series, featuring various F4/F3/MSA racers e.g. Lando Norris. The least they could do if streaming is the only option, is to offer an HD service... but no, looks no better than the old Channel 71 SD feed
"Better than nothing" has to be the philosophical approach, through gritted teeth. Disappointing though.

Thanks, that looks the kind of thing, still annoying as anything though; I already spent extra on a box compatible with the channel 71 format, now I have to spend even more on an adaptor. So much for Freeview being the budget option.Same here too. The main reason I purchased my PVR was to watch Motors, and as I don't get much spare time it was great to be able to record and watch it at leisure.
I've tried it tonight and despite a pretty good internet connection it is horribly jumpy and fragmented (unwatchable at times) and even when not the picture quality is pretty dire (might be the feed I suppose). Not that this makes much difference, not being able to record means I'm unlikely to actually get to see much on this channel from now on. Shame as the coverage of endurance races was often excellent. Really gutted!

Bummer, mate. It's just about watchable here (BT Infinity wifi), no breaks or jumps thankfully. So frustrating for you
For the first time in years, had to sort out real life to fit around the schedule (so last century... ) I managed to organise the time so as to be able to spend an hour watching the 18:55 coverage of the NZ Toyota singleseaters.... Race 3 coverage about to start....
Few places online reporting that it has gone from all services, interesting info found on Twitter from Radio Le Mans: https://twitter.com/BesterRobert/status/7503358080...
