Just to muddy the waters some more. Nick Simpsons car has a similar history to that suggested for exfrog's car. The metalic green car was the replacement for the original Ian Flux Tuscan in 1998. Ian Flux's was red with a yellow nose #22 originally. It might be one of the other Team Central cars perhaps Bobby Verdon-Roe's. This is mostly speculation as there is no definative history on many of these cars. I suspect that as repairs were carried out after major damage few of the cars have original components anyway.

Mine was sort of confirmed by Steve, as he worked on Ian's car at Team Central, and remembered the chassis paint colour; which he later found after having to weld in some new tubes. There were lots of cars going through there though so it does get a little murky. Mine was apparently Ian's for the first half of 1995, then went to Bobby VR when a new AJP car arrived from the factory, then VR raced it in 96. Mine's fully road legal, taxed and MOTd.
...which also means someone like me with just a National B non-race licence can run it in speed events. If it wasn't presented as road legal I'd have to have a race licence.
Thought about selling last year and didn't, but I think this year it's probably going to go.

AOther registrations of note are: PCB162, F309OTA, F418VVC, F706UDT, F933OFJ, S557XOE, ERT555, A6HLX and SN57ESH, although that last one looks wrong somehow.
Because it is It's SN57EFH. Registered on a 57 plate as I SVA'd it as a new build. 'New' includes 'refurbished as new' parts so with documentation of a full rebuild, chassis refurb, new motor and box etc it was accepted as a new amateur build. And given TVR had stopped production by that time I think possibly the only TVR registered new in 2007.

I remember I did snap a driveshaft, but eventually managed to get one from Steve who used to look after quite a few racers and had a place near Reading, he's been on Top Gear sorting out quite a few of their projects...
Cheers, Al.
Hi!Cheers, Al.
Is this the same guy also known as "stinker"?
Does anybody know his full name?
Ours may have been one of the racers he looked after.
