I don't understand how Carl Breeze can exceed track limits every lap and not get a penalty.
I hate the no wheels off rule - totally inconsistent application

( now has a 5 sec penalty - but if the rules were applied then he would have been DQ'd by now )
I wasn't taking much notice of him, was he cutting the left on the approach to Mcleans? If so the BTCC cars were cutting that and got no warnings.
Yep Mcleans - but again as a driver/spectator you don't get told where you're exceeding the limit.
( rant over - i'll save it for the no wheels off thread)

Have to say we're having a great day here, great racing under tricky conditions. Just been to a q&a session with Plato. Great banter! I'll definitely come to another race when I can.

Brabham wins the pathetic hissy fit of the day prize.

Don't like the new clios far to tall and bloated compared to last years cars.

Back to ff bit more interesting this year hope it improves.

Good race today but agreed they look far too tall/high to be real racing cars - a bit like those daft 500 trofeo cars that would roll if provoked.

Talking to one of the Clio drivers, his feedback was broadly similar. You feel like you're sitting on it and kinda turn in and wait for it to bite before you're secure with what it's going to do.

Plato spun Jordan there?

ETA: I thought after last weekend all the drivers had decided to chill out a bit, it's gone back to being a bit hectic today. smile

I suppose Tim Harvey is right, Turkington didn't take the corner either. Had Turkington taken a proper line I think there would be no doubt that Sheddon should lose the position.

Because the idea is to stay within track limits, he gained an advantage by taking a short cut

Bit dodgy IMO - If the Beemer had stayed on the tarmac then I reckon the dog carrier should have lost the place for taking an advantage by cutting the corner.

He was in front at turn in, got clattered and both cars didn't take the corner.

We'll ignore for now Turkington running him wide, deliberately running him off the circuit rather than giving him room previously on the lap.

That's harsh, try putting a couple of hundred grand into a season, trying to make a career out of motorsport and then throwing it away.

It's a job like any other...just imagine if you fooked up at your place of work and caused several thousand pounds worth of damage how you would feel....insensitive idiot you are

He may have been infront at turn in (just) but that move round the outside was never on!! Having raced there the chicane isnt that wide... I wouldnt try a move like that personally and imo given new rules he should have that taken off him. But btcc lads seem to get away with much more than us clubby racers unfortunately so chances are nothing will be done! Just my 2penneth...

I'm not a sheddon fan, however you can overtake around the outside, turkington touched sheddon then went wide, forcing shed off the track....she'd was ahead going into the corner and both cars went off caused my turkington hitting Gordon......i expect the result to stand tbh
