My daughter has been going to the F1 similar races since she was born. No ill effects so far. Just make sure you take some (small) ear defenders.

She won't understand, be bored, wont like the noise (possible ear damage at that age, even with ear defenders and by "muffs" I assume you mean the fluufy ear warmer things that won't offer any sound protection).

Because the baby will probably get stressed by the whole thing you and your wife will probably not enjoy it too.

I took some 4-6 year old nephews to Donington several years ago and they ended up crying and we had to leave early.

I wouldn't.

One thing that annoys me at races are kids running around not interested at all in the race and babies crying and the parents not doing fk all to stop it. Wait till they are older will enjoy it more I was 10 when I went to my first track race which was btcc at Donny and enjoyed it. If I was younger would of got bored.

Been there - not a great day out with a baby. If you had a camper van or somewhere to hide/change nappies then it would be okay, but otherwise I really wouldn't. Perhaps you could generously let Mum bond with baby for the day and you could tear yourself away to Thruxton for some pals and then have a few beers later laugh

I was taken to my first race meeting when I was about three. Story goes that my mum came along in case I became anxious. I adored every second and it kicked off a habit which my father and I have maintained for the last 27 years. We've been to hundreds of race meetings around the world together and I wouldn't swap that for anything.

I'd say 11 months is probably too young to derive much benefit from the experience but judge each case on its merits, I suppose.

It won't be enjoyable for anyone involved.

My 4 year old lasted 5 of the 6 hours at the WEC at Silverstone last year - we left an hour early because she got 'hangry'. She could of lasted if I could stomach the terribly high burger prices.

The earliest memory I have was worked back to being Thruxton, at the complex, in 1975. I was 2yrs old.

Space to roll about on the banking, outside all day, mucking about, what isn't there to like for kids.

My daughter will this year go to the F1 GP in Singapore and MotoGP at Phillip Island. It's what we like to do as a family and I can't wait to introduce her to it. She'll be a year old.

Yes it will compromise our enjoyment, no I wouldn't make her do something she never wanted to do etc etc ...

I see lots of kids at all the racing I go to from BSB to MotoGP and it's great, they're the future fans, the future supporters of Motorsport and it's to be encouraged.

Currently in a hotel room with my 12 year old step son after spending the day at WEC - Silverstone, both eagerly awaiting tomorrow.

Except for the £6-8 burger price!

My little one went to Goodwood FOS at 2 weeks old. We bought him some Peltor kids ear defenders and he was fine.
