At my old workplace, they used to have TORK paper towels in the loos. That just made me think of Thor Holm's RS200 rallycross car....

I remember going on holiday to Portugal with my family when I was six years old. 1996. The height of my fandom for Williams and Damon Hill.

We stopped at a cafe somewhere one night in the middle of nowhere after a day in Lisbon (and a trip to Estoril to see the track) and I saw a Segafredo logo on the awning above the place.

Immediately made me think of the FW16 so I was pleased when my mum and dad both ordered a Segafredo coffee.

I really miss the days of tobacco sponsorship too. Not that I smoke, but looking at cigarette machines in places as a kid and trying to identify the teams and cars each brand represented was always good. Same for alcohol.

956/962 sponsorship had some quite iconic brands, but this one.....

I seem to remember it wasn't a brand at all, just a rich racing enthusiast spending his money on his favourite sport.

As we're talking about "Motorsport", we should be allowed to include one of these...

Jaagermeister, discovered what this was to my cost, best as a paint scheme on, or running racing BMW's on it rather than drinking it, its a kind of spicy alcoholic, version of Cuprinol.
Jägermeister is beautiful, as are the liveries.

I'm always bemused by how much cash Martini must have chucked at motor sport over the years, given that Martini must be one of the most unmanly drinks ever.

Not really iconic (yet?) but as soon as I got back from Le Mans this year I had to google DMG Mori:

CNC machine stuff...

one has to wonder if a big machine upgrade contract is under tender for the Porsche factory.

I do kind of like it really, but not the carnage that sometimes results from it, ever heard of the Clermont club in Atlanta (google it), a night I am not allowed to ever forget, for many reasons, was precipitated by Jaager biggrin

They were a dealer group but did a bit of everything, mostly BL based. I've got a company brochure of theirs stashed somewhere as they owned the garage that used to be behind my parents house. A bit like BL, they were huge but now no more.

IZOD, former sponsor of the IndyCar series in the US. A clothing brand, I found out.

I liked the Barwa Addax livery the first time I watched a GP2 race, found out that Barwa is a real estate company from Qatar. Johnny Cecotto Jr's helmet looks nice with it too.

Also the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series in NASCAR. Sprint is a phone company and Nationwide is an insurance company.

Mild Seven is a Japanese cigarette brand.

Always wondered what Magneti Marelli was when I was younger. Got it muddles up with the Hellmanns mayonnaise logo too for some reason. Car electronics and stuff though, not condiments. Weichai is a Chinese company that makes diesel engines (yeah) and Haas is a CNC company owned by Gene Haas, of the Stewart Haas NASCAR team and the Haas F1 team coming in 2016.

Kimi Raikkonen talks about Weichai Power here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjdYTzlfms0

Makes me lol every time...

The power of advertising: Finally bought my first Olympus camera last year, about 30 years after making a Tamiya model of one of the most beautiful F1 cars of all time:

Visiting Tokyo a few years ago, we went through Ueno Station. I desperately wanted to visit the clinic.
