Platos complaint is not with bmw or turks infact he has praised the team and drivers. What plato is complaining about is the rules regarding development on the cars. Back in 2013 when wsr announced using the 1 series in ngtc form the one thing wsr made apparent was the poor design of the front sub frame from the only other rwd car rar audi, so toca gave allowance for wsr to modify the front sub frame/suspension with rar also having the same upgrade.

During 2014 wsr also altered the mounting of the engine so its sits further back and lower in the car I believe rar also has done the same thing.

The fwd teams haven't been given the same treatment over modify the spec parts this is what plato is complaining about to gow and toca. Its not just plato making the facts about it both Honda and pirtek has made similar comments.

Now toca wont do anything for the remaning of the series but I would expect to see alterations allowed for the fwd teams for next year. At the start of the ngtc regs gow did say after 4-5 years he will alter certain things ie ngtc 2.0.

Turks and wsr have done a brilliant job this year which they have taking full advantage of the other will catch up next year im sure.

As above, as much as I'm not a Plato fan I do think he's correct in his complaints. He hasn't moaned about it to be fair to him, he's just made the point stated above. I would be expecting to see similar tweaks made to the fwd subframes over winter.

In other news, I'm lead to believe that the Civic Tourers are no more as of the end of the year, the 2 Dynamics cars and possibly Jordans car will all be running the new Type R bodywork for 2015 to plug the launch of the new Civic Type R.

They aren't pulling out, just binning the tourers off and going back to type r bumpered/graphic'd hatches.

He hasn't moaned about it!!!? FFS, I hope he doesn't start then, I'm sick of seeing him whinging.......

Never noticed him moaning a few years ago when he had the advantage in his car, fairly or not.

Well you never moan when you have the best car that's kinda stupid. Also yes the seat was quick but dogged with reliability issues and eat tyres due to the extra weight. Mainly the reason gio won with 888.
Also back then parity between cars wasn't issued where as now is different.

Most drivers/teams will try every way possible to get an advantage over the rest whatever that way is, and with plato always getting the lime light if it doesn't do its intended purpose gets people talking which is what he likes doing being the villan of the btcc.

I couldn't agree more, that is all Plato seems to do these days.

It's probably only because they have tightened up on driving standards now so he can't punt them off line at every corner like he and Matt Neal used to do with monotonous regularity!
