Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, advice.... Please.

Hi;
Trying to arrange last minute trip to celebrate a friends birthday (2 travellers) and wondered if anyone had first hand knowledge of 'hospitality packages' here?
Looked at;
The Paddock Club 3 day package.
Amber Lounge 2 day Marina Yacht package.
Amber Lounge Sunday night F1 party.
Yas Viceroy Terrace 2 day. (Not staying in hotel)
All similar pricing but as I having never been to the Abu Dhabi Track before and it been a lot of money I would really appreciate any input on the above
or alternative recomendations.

Have done the Abu Dhabi race for the last two years. First year with yacht package through work, was very good - VIP parking, access to the various marina bars and of course watching the race from a boat, free food, drink etc. Not the best view of any racing action, but I guess the atmosphere made up for it. The package we had included tickets for one of the stands, but to be honest in the heat and faced with the choice of walking to a stand or staying on a boat into the evening, we stayed on the boat. Various after parties etc and Yas always has the free F1 Rocks concert in the Du Arena next door. Boats all sounding their horns etc as the flag dropped created a pretty unique atmosphere, especially as it will be properly dark by then.
Last year we decided not to do the corporate bit, instead buying a couple of grandstand tickets. Far more enjoyable as race fans to be honest, contrary to what you'd expect there are bars available in the GP village area and the atmosphere was just as good. Grandstand tickets gave a great view and screens were positioned everywhere affording a good view around the track. The only downside was forgetting which car park we had left the car in. The money we saved we spent on a few beers during the day.
Feel free to drop me a line if you want any more tips, I do know Rae who runs the Amber Lounge and happy to put you in touch with her, by all accounts, THAT is the after party to get into. You'll pay through the nose for it, but it's the party all the drivers tend to go to, and if it's a birthday you'll want to celebrate late into Monday morning (if the heat hasn't killed you!) be warned though - it is dressy and you'll be expected to make an effort for the after party.
