So with only 2 rds to go and only 6 races left its the last chance for shedden and plato to gain points on the bmw and with this track not a good one for the Hondas and good for mg think its end of the road for shedden.

Plato really needs to win both first and 2nd race with a good finish in race 3 to have any chance for the last rd and needs turks to have some bad luck otherwise we might see the title rapped in this weekend.

Oh and new driver for this weekend is luke hines replacing glynn geddie in the 2nd Toyota at UA.

My first time to BTCC this weekend, can't wait, any pointers on the day.

Is it a busy day, been to Moto GP the last 2 yrs and it's busy busy, any ideas if like this, are there normally big traffic ques to get in, do the grandstands get full early and stay full all day.

As I said , first time and welcome and help.

Havent been there for a good 4 years but traffic wasn't to bad as soon as you get onto the main road right outside its fine. I didn't find it to busy when I went there last so shouldn't be to much of a problems crowds wise anyway nothing like f1 or moto gp levels.

Grandstands will be busy but will get a seat somewhere if you leave and come back etc.

Many thanks for the pointers, I'm a wheelchair user so have my seating sorted smile, there are six others in our party so really checking up for them, promises to be a great day.

Kinda losing interest in this year now. Too much of a 1 horse race now much like the 2nd half of the F1 season last year.

Not the best track for the cars either tbh.

What did Matt Neal say to the press to warrant a 25k fine for bringing the series into disrepute?

Matt Neal is alleged to have said :

"The car's great but it's not got a TOCA engine. The first speed trap is fine because it's halfway through a corner but there's not a single Honda in the top 20 in the middle speed trap. Honda will pull out of the championship. So they [TOCA officials] have done their job because what they want is Honda out of the championship."

Plato has said things against the championship, so why has this not happened to him?

Also Team Dynamics have has their TOCA BTCC Licenses revoked.

"Additionally, TOCA have deemed that Team Dynamics are in breach of Clause 7 of the TOCA BTCC License (‘TBL’) by bringing the Championship, the TOCA officials and the organisation into disrepute. Accordingly both TBLs held by Team Dynamics are revoked."

It's an empty threat though, as both the fine and their licences been revoked are on a suspended sentence until end of 2015. They wanted to do something but they were scared of losing one of the main draws for fans in the Honda team dynamics team, as the championship would fall in spectator numbers immediately, so they have just done something to show they think it was wrong but not really do anything to harm matt Neal or dynamics

Well that was a rather boring qualifying session IMO.

Could be some close racing tomorrow 23 cars separated by 1s, 2 mgs, 1 bmw, 1 ford and the 2 passats in the top 6 all look very evenly matched could be anyones chance to win, really impressed with ingram this year in the Toyota consistent and qualifys well too. Also both morgan and rob Austin in the top 10.
One im disappointed with is gio 19th place behind the 3 Hondas.

Hondas down the field but don't let that fool u can be quicker in the race just look at last years epic battle between plato and Jordan in race 2.

Oh and before people start saying how bad that the Hondas are so far down they are half a second down from the mg at rockingham they were 0.6 down from mg, knockhill the same as for the rest of the season bar the first 3rds.
Its not they are slow its the times are so close makes them look even slower. Think they will be in the top 10 throughout each race.

Looking forward to a lazy day in front of the TV, switching between BTCC and Golf.

I see with full ballast Turkington qualified 4 tenths ahead of his nearest team mate. All his success this year must be down to that RWD advantage..

Plato jumped the start, but then seemed to back off.

Nobody seemed to notice. Commentators haven't mentioned it.

They all seemed to - wonder if it was a problem with the coverage. I think the same happened at Rockingham.

Makes a change to see Shedden the nudgee not the nudger!

The starting lights are usually out of sync with the main picture tbh.

Not a bad race with some good battles. Shame Turkington didn't give Plato a race, but you can't blame him.

If plato had he would have got a penalty no penalty no jump start, as said pic out of sync with the lights.

Not a bad first race close and clean couple of taps nothing to major, good clean move from plato getting back past turks then controlled the pace surprised Jackson didn't have more of a go.

Good battles down the field and good race from marc hynes in 7th best result of the year.
