Typical Plato move. Turkington kept it clean then Plato comes steaming along and ruins someone race. Tosser.

Smith thinks he's going to get promoted to 1st going by that interview

Totally agree! It was such an obvious opportunist move.

I do like that Menu and Gio are just as happy to dish it out when someone attempts to rough them up.

Roll on Brands and Colin's second championship.

Makes him sound like a spoilt brat.

He's far from the only one out there. FWIW I think the right thing was done. Jackson was ahead and it's good that they swapped the places back. I was looking forward to this weekend but feel a bit flat to be honest. Races 1 and 2 pretty identical at the front and not a lot of excitement anywhere, a horrible accident, and then the usual shunting from Plato in race 3. And why do we always have to hear from him no matter where he starts or finishes?
Positives are another win for Jackson, and some more good racing from the Ginetta juniors.

Is that not the point though? If you don't try for the opportune overtakes you'll just move backwards, he tried, failed and held back for the rest of the race. I can't say I wouldn't have done different had it been me in his shoes chasing championship points to close in on the runaway leader.

It wasn't an opportunistic overtake it was an opportunistic punt! He clearly had the car slowed down and then rolled off the brake when he realised he could remove both Turkington and Gio in one fell swoop.

I'm all for rubbing is racing, it's the BTCC at the end of the day, but tactics like that really put me off the series in general. Which is a shame as it's clearly experiencing a resurgence.

It was a blatant push and nudge.

A blatant push to pass as clear as day, but full marks to Turkington to hold it all together and get back in front again he will be a deserving champion if it goes that way.

Platos move could have so easily ended up punting him off and out of the points.

I'm surprised there were no driving standards penalties for the lap 19 bumper cars. Reading the posts about Plato on here, I'm not sure I saw the same race, Turkington had all four wheels locked up and massively under steering when Plato hit him, on that basis Plato didn't have to slow down and wait while Turkington gathered it up.

Race 2 was a carbon copy of the first, barring Collard's roll which isn't nice viewing.

While I am a shedden fan and disappointed for him and Honda, that race 3 drive by turkington was a class act and shows that it is more than a car advantage this year.

Totally agree. Turkington was all over the back of Gio for a large part of the race but kept it squeeky clean. The first time Plato get anywhere near the action he blatantly tries to ram Turkington off the road - he does it all the time.

I was surprised when I read this forum and seen so many Plato and Shedden haters. I'm neither.

I'll need to watch it back, but I never noticed Turkington out of control.

I called it the same as others have. It did seem to me that it was a very calculated push.

Watched Turks overtake in race 3 and supprised no comments on the fact that about 50% of his car was off the circuit, officials must be registered blind so can see where Matt Neal's coming from.

Great to see the Ginetta Juniors getting some positive comments.

Was a fab weekend.

Saw Collard's car brought into the pits and was pretty shocking up close.

Ah, someone who watched the same race as me. "Squeeky clean" Turkington using the grass to squeeze down the inside on Gio. That was making a hole to push through if ever there was an example of it.

As for Aron Smith, the boys a prime example of what you get when you put a mic in front of someone who believes their own hype.

Smith must be doing something right to finish 2nd.

Why was plato in the podium enclosure after race 3?

If you don't finish top 3 you have no reason to be in the enclosure.
