BTCC Season Finale - Brands Hatch GP
Discussion
You'd have to be very brave or have some serious inside knowledge to bet against Turkington now.
In 2009 coming in to the Brands GP closing meeting, it was relatively tight. This year he just needs to finish in the points really.
Looking forward to it still, the GP circuit looks excellent and usually gives better races than the Indy circuit (less nudging wide through Clearways)

Brands Hatch is just round the corner from me however it is my other half's birthday and somehow that has taken precedence. Might be able to catch race 1 & 3 on TV as we're going for Sunday lunch, but wish me luck.
Even if Turkington's car exploded, Plato would still have to win a couple of races and a top 6, or have about three 2nd places. Shame it's not as tight as usual but you can't fault Colin's campaign - winning when he could, grabbing big points when he couldn't and tempering smooth with aggressive driving when needed.

I won weekend tickets from Dunlops Facebook page yesterday. Unfortunately I can't go though because we're off to the Isle of Wight to celebrate my Grandads 80th birthday, so I have given the tickets to my friend and her Husband. I have told them to get plenty of pictures and her Husband now has to let me have a go in his Kumho BMW racing car

Rob Collard expected to be back out. Car is 70% rebuilt according to the BTCC Crazy article. Fantastic effort!
I've had a look at Willie Poole Motorsport on Twitter before and some of the turn arounds they do are amazing. Especially as they do a vast number of the BTCC shells and repairs now. @wpms on Twitter from memory.Apart from a few dnf turkinghton will be crowned either after the first on 2nd race but this is the btcc so anything can happen.
Hopefully wsr can get collard car built and back on the grid for the last rd.
Also news for next year amd are looking at possible going to a 2 car btcc team along with cars in the support races too bold move by them.

Can't wait! Leaving tomorrow morning to set up our stand, come see us at the Power Maxed trade stand for some free Shampoo and Ultra Wax sachets Hoping Stockton can break into the top 20 as a lot of progress has been made over the last two rounds. Turkington to win it overall in my opinion!

While it would be good, having to effectively pay for the car himself I'd be surprised if Collard decided to have the car rebuilt for one round and then face the cost of another strip down and rebuild again a few weeks later having used the car once.
https://twitter.com/collardrob/status/519975185739681792It was from the man himself. Rob strikes me as a proper racer, if there's any chance of fixing the car, it'll happen.
