The question is why aren't people having wins taken away if they're gaining the advantage by taking someone off. Can you honestly not say that wouldn't be a fitting punishment, or are you just a Plato fan?

Yeah I'm a Plato fan, what of it? biggrin

His punishment there needs to be fitting with how others have been punished for the same offence which is why I asked if others had been disqualified from results for removing another from the race because I don't remember if that's the case.

ETA: If you're saying you feel every ones penalties should be harsher then I may agree.

Kinda needs to be 2 things really, penalties that fit the crime and more consistency. Same with car performance, amazing how Goff last year and Morgan this year suddenly have rapid cars at the last race...

The penalties should certainly be harsher for the serial offenders like Plato. These days he seems incapable of pulling off a clean overtake unless he has a massive advantage, and is all too happy to resort to cheating.

Hopefully the rules won't be changed in his favour, and he'll stick to his veiled threats to not be there next year.

Like another has said he should have been removed from the win and given to WIX.

Jason Plato really is a knob jockey. I won't be sad to see the back of him. No one likes a cheat.

Maybe TOCA do pay attention to the fans, so many people on the btcc Facebook page and twitter saying he should have been disqualified.

Have to admit that I am a bit of a Plato fan, but the disqual from Race 2 is correct in my opinion, there was no opportunity to overtake Turkington.

Punishment is still to weak, the titles already won so stripped of race 2 and starting from the back means nothing, they should of held it back to the start of next season when it would actually hurt him.

Hopefully turkington teaches him a lesson in this race wink

Well I am surprised at how many cars are still running in this race, thought it would be last man standing wins.

Big difference is this whole season turkington has been clean, plato is always punting people off , he can't always be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe he should be booted out of the series, oh no can't do that he brings too much money in hence why the rules are different for him.
