Punishment is still to weak, the titles already won so stripped of race 2 and starting from the back means nothing, they should of held it back to the start of next season when it would actually hurt him.

Hopefully turkington teaches him a lesson in this race wink
Nope, looks like Turkington should get a penalty for punting someone off, rules is rules
Big difference is this whole season turkington has been clean, plato is always punting people off , he can't always be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe he should be booted out of the series, oh no can't do that he brings too much money in hence why the rules are different for him.
No, the rules should be applied equally to all drivers,

Like another has said he should have been removed from the win and given to WIX.

Jason Plato really is a knob jockey. I won't be sad to see the back of him. No one likes a cheat.
All racing drivers cheat, some get caught
Too right.

Seen far worse and deliberate PIT moves unpunished by most of the 'names' in BTCC over the years. One driver in particular had a blind eye turned by the Stewards time and again. Very annoying and unfair.

The difference was Plato lunged and put someone out of the race, while Turkington was barely on the throttle and ran into someone who in the end could continue. Two totally different types on incident.

Anyway great season, roll on 2015!

Recorded the ITV4 coverage and fast forward to watch the BTCC races.

Why did Jack Clark start on pole for race 3, I watched the reverse grid thingy and it was Foster on pole?

Ok contact is contact , the trouble is some people seem to have a blind eye turned when they make contact every race.

Cause plato got disqualified from race 2.

The move was a stupid one from plato and the right punishment was brought. Shame its not applied to other drivers on the grid though at times.
Great that morgan got his first win in the new merc it has shown some great handling all year just down a bit on power also that means 11 differnet winners which is a record if im right.

Race 3 a bit on the safe side surprised more didn't go off and a good recovery drive from plato.

Overal the right person got the title at the end.

Roll on 2015.

'They'?

It seems clear that you can't tell the difference between a racing incident and deliberate cheating, so why do you dumbly repeat your posts? Are you, indeed, Plato himself, cause I really can't see any sentient being giving him such support?

He wasn't DQ'd from Race 2, he was given a 20 second penalty, so finished 13th.

And placed on the back of the grid for R3 but elected to start from the pits to avoid any accident he may

or may not cause.

Just read the BTCC site and Plato was placed 13th AND given 10 place grid penalty but as it was his third

strike it sent him to the back as well.

I thought it was a great weekend of racing. I wasn't particularly a Turkington fan before but of the two options remaining I'm pleased he won. He's generally a clean driver (if a little dull) and doesn't do any bad-mouthing (that I've seen anyway). He's won the title the right way.

It was good to have Jackson and Clarke on the podium for the last race, I hope they're both back nex year, and Shedden being like the Flash of old rather than the crashy/moany Minnie he's been lately.

Did anyone see the Plato and Tordoff interview after the first race? Tordoff looked so pissed off, not helped when Steve asked him a question and Plato just answered over him!

I can't believe it's 5 months until they're out again frown

Also more close racing from the Ginetta Juniors was exciting to watch, I thought Paul O'Neill was going to lose his voice laugh

It must be bloody hard after his pole at silverstone and the blow up, then having to give up a win in what is apparently his last race for MG?

He did look mighty pissed off, but as a number 2 driver, it's just part of the job. Poor chap.

Great weekend of racing. I've always been somebody who stands up for Plato but that's twice in two meetings he's 'misjudged' a gap or corner or gone in too fast. His performance from the back of the grid in race 3 without bumping almost redeemed him though.
