Speaking of coming from the back of the grid, why is it that when either Turkington or the MGs are at the back, they can make pretty good progress, but when the 3 top Hondas are at the back they don't do as well. That's rhetorical obviously, but I hope there's actually equality next year.

I am growing to like his commentary actually. It's nice that he's so passionate. Still hate the twitter section though
That's the most pointless thing on TV, purely because they pick questions asked by people who must be watching for the first time.

Does anybody know how Matt Neal is? There doesn't seem to be anything after the fact that he was flown to hospital.

I think he was released again while they were still racing

It was reported that he was on his way back to the circuit.

Compared to some of the cars in the first corner farce Neal's didn't look too badly damaged.

He started the weekend with a chest injury. I presume the shunt was then more painful and of concern than usually it would be.

Didn't know that.

Maybe he shouldn't have raced at all.

He got out of the car holding his ribs.

The trackside commentary said he had agitated a previous injury but was otherwise ok.

Im not sure if he came back to the track later in the day, but Yuasa Racing tweeted he was ok, but wouldnt be racing again that day.

Had a look on Youtube as I couldn't remember who/what/where he got hit.

He wallopped Hunter Abbott's [I think]Audi on the Honda's OSF.

2 cracked ribs + standard seat belt and HANS device compression + shunt load = fk that

Not surprised at all he was unable to continue racing.

Will this end up on Itv Player? I forgot to record it this weekend but want to watch the whole thing rather than just the highlights show.

I hadn't realised until last Sunday that JP's wife is similarly nasally blessed to the man himself. I tried to word that politely but probably failed!
Anyway Louise was talking to her before the first race and said something along the lines of "yes I saw you just then sticking your nose in the car". I would have thought most people in those circumstances would say "head" instead of "nose".
Doesn't sound as bad now as when watched live, but that's the bit that I thought she needed a saucer of milk for, THX might be thinking of something else entirely.

Read about Nissan/Infiniti [probably] entering next year.

Good to have a new,or former winner, manufacturer in the series.

Maybe some others will take note and enter.

I think Mat Jackson has had a really good season and the only driver to finish every lap of every race I think. Would be good to see what he could do in one of the WSR BMWs along with Turkington.

I read that Tordoff could be going to WSR.
