Good first race interesting battles throughout the field gutted for smith but good race for the Hondas/ adam morgan, cook/goff/ingram all in the top 10.

Plato on pole for the next race think he will do well.
Good excuse by Smith for screwing up the race 1 start lol. And that they removed part of Platos Windscreen strip.

Has Jack Clarke left big Ginettas for the rest of the year or just this weekend?
He wasn't at Donington either. Bradley Ellis drove the car.

Slowest in qualifying by about 4.5 seconds to the next nearest car.
Race 1 - 22nd & 1 lap down.
Race 2 - 21st (last) & 1 lap down.
Race 3 - 20th (just avoided being lapped I think).

I think he started 1, if not 2, of the races from the pit lane due to problems.

Tim Harvey said a bit in commentary about the team having probably spent a fair chunk more, in attempting to build their own in house engine and then rebuild it, etc, due to problems than it would have cost compared to them using the readily available off the shelf TOCA one.

I think he also made mention of the likely amount of £££ that the team have probably had to spend, and also lost in expenditure & sponsorship, in having a car that is both uncompetitive and in some cases not being driven / retired due to the problems.

No doubt that's a big part of why Wookie is now in a Ginetta.

Even Paul "And I`ll tell you what" O-Neill wasn`t TOO bad. laugh

Couple of good races Wookie. Entertaining to watch.
Sorry only just spotted this, cheers!

As for the reason for being in Ginettas, I certainly didn't 'lose my drive' put it that way wink

Finally, Welch Motorsport have been deducted 10 points for changing more than the allotted three engines in a season. However, the rules have changed this year so teams cannot have minus points in the standings, so the team remains on zero.

Watched on catch up late last night.

Carrying on from qualifying, circuit limit enforcement is a complete joke. Smith cutting across the grass on the inside of corners trying to get down the inside of cars in front. Hey, its ok as long as its at the fast corners, not at the one corner they're paying attention to, which is one of the slowest on the circuit.

Really? I thought he was awful as usual. Just doesn't know when to shut up or stop making moronic 'witticisms', which are so grating.

He's as good a commentator as he was a driver, I.e. a wreck.

By the way Paul, it's aitch, aitch, C Motorsport, not Haitch, Haitch, C...........

Personally I quite like Paul O'Neill as a commentator.

Just putting that out there.

I did last year, but this season he has gone to a higher level of shouting and screaming, which is too much at times..

Well it wasn't just us armchair racers that thought Sophia Floersch did a cracking job. Everybody from Dario Franchitti to Jason Plato has been tweeting how impressed they were.

I'm looking forward to the next junior races almost as much as the main races.

Stood at several different corners but the best was just past pit lane exit around Allard.

Great day and great racing. Managed to take over 600photos too.

Matt Neal is a very dirty driver and it's a disgrace he was not penalised for punting Jordan off at Donnington.
Every year at Brands Neal makes a pass on people by punting the driver in front out the way on entry to Clearways- he keeps getting away with it so he keeps doing it. The rules are clear he should be given a penalty each time he does it.
I'm amazed how he gets away with it. His driving standards are really poor. When interviewed about the jordan punt he says something along the lines of 'what goes around/karma' and all that. If I was 17 again I might be impressed but now he just comes across as a silly old sod who too arrogant to realise he's losing a fewer tenths to the younger drivers and has to resort to his stock car tactics.

Simon Belcher may be out for the rest of the season.
Car has suffered irreparable damage & the costs involved now are substantial to say the least.
Real shame as there was absolutely nothing he could have done to avoid the shunt. But that's racing I guess.

He has set up a crowd funding page to try to get him back on the grid.

Cheers, Al.
