I didn't think it was a Jensen but couldn't put my finger on what it is.

So what's the other shell in background ?

Great work to get the car back out on track in such a short time. Will be missing this weekends racing so will catch up later on during the week. Hopefully the action is much better than last year.

Oh and for people watching on tv there is interrupted coverage of the 2nd btcc race I think and the support races due to tennis.

Surely they aren't going to interrupt a race, that kind of crap probably exacerbated the falling numbers of viewers the BTCC had in the early 00's. When it was on ITV and you'd get a race, some day-time tv repeats, highlights of race 2, more daytime rubbish, then maybe the final race so long as nothing had gone wrong to change the schedule. What if the tennis overruns or a race is postponed for weather/accidents ect?

Tennis scheduled for 1.30 to 3.15pm.

Is that long enough for a 5 setter ?

Hate Tennis anyway !

I believe the tennis moves to ITV1 at 3.15pm for the remainder of the afternoon / coverage.

It's likely that the tennis would have been on ITV1 in full (as it was this afternoon), but because ITV also have the live rights to the England vs ROI end of season friendly, which is also on tomorrow from lunchtime, they've had to move the early tennis coverage to ITV4 to account for the overlap.

Out of the 3 sports being shown, ITV will have paid far more for the football and tennis rights, so coverage of the BTCC will be well down on the scale of overall viewing figures vs the other 2 sports, and therefore easily sacrificed for a few hours and moved to the ITV sport website for streaming, like they do with the qualifying.

It was always the same the last few years when ITV used to have the rights for the IPL, before it went to Sky this year. Whenever the IPL was live on a BTCC Sunday, it was always moved to a stream on the ITV website in favour of the BTCC due to viewing figures.

For those of us that want to watch the BTCC however, it is somewhat annoying though frown

Yes,I meant to re post back here after looking at the TV listings.

ITV have 4 normal channels, could've used ITV2 or 3 for some of this rather than mess about.

Funnily enough they did use ITV3 last year to show an additional court during the early rounds, rather than the main one broadcast on ITV4. I believe a large number of complaints were received from viewers who weren't able to watch their daily re-runs of classic ITV dramas, so as a result they reverted to ITV4 & additional website coverage for all the rounds bar the final.

Just imagine the complaints if they used ITV2 for sport. Tens of thousands of complaints from people not able to watch their daily reruns of Jeremy Kyle, Britain's Got (No) Talent, X-Factor, etc hehe

all 3 BTCC races are still being shown live on ITV4 on Sunday.
It's only some support races that are missing out on live coverage during the time ITV4 are showing the tennis.

Yep even with the split in coverage all 3 races will be live:

Race 1 - 12.17
Race 2 - 15.32
Race 3 - 17.42

Coverage on ITV4 stops at 1.30 then starts again at 15.15.
