Wouldn't it be awful if JP didn't finish race 2?!

Strange no clever yes why risk a non finish in race 1 and a bad starting grid for race 2 instead of no points in race 1 and a good starting grid for race 2.
The year its all about scoring the most points consistently ever weekend and plato has yet again found the best way hence why hes leading the standing.
Think he's now 4th, Sheddon is at the top and starts next to him in race 2.

Superb drive by Ollie Jackson..........surely that'll be 3rd once Orton's penalised?

I dont agree with what Plato did, not very "sporting". Wouldn't be surprised if we see more guys who qualify badly doing it now.

Them's the rules... others have pulled similar strokes in past events.

Clever ploy by Plato. How much weight will he have on board for Race 2 now?

The points system doesn't support Plato's strategy unless the driver/car is already capable of winning races. The driver would score at most one point (for fastest lap) in the first race and if he wins the second he can still end up 10th with full ballast for the third race. Plato lost the championship a few years back (he says) for scoring no points in races he crashed out of trying to win.

True, Plato has lost many a title he should have won. Whereas Neal has done the opposite.

Anyway, not long till race 2 now so we'll see what happens. Hopefully Plato can push the BMs cos they look like doing a clean sweep today.

I thought Tordoff jumped the start, but maybe Priaux was just slow away.

I saw Tordoff jump the start too. He moved before anyone else did.

Nice race, with some great battles. Collard V Shedden was a tad close to a big'un!

Looked like some kind of failure for Cook, barely scrubbed off any speed at all.

Yea I thought shedden was going off with that incident but great racing between 2 long standing btcc racers. Something went wrong there for cook mechanicaly didn't take of any speed.

Oh and another finish for nick and ahead of stuart lines.
