Interesting weekend, some good action and arguably the weekend of the season
BMR and 888 have a had dire day – at one point didn’t BMR have 3 of its 4 cars off? On TV they look so fat and heavy, almost boat like compared to the likes of Shedden. Both teams knew this was a bad weekend, and will be a weekend to forget
Honda Yuasa boys will be very happy with today’s business and so should Motorbase. The Focus might look hideous, but Jackson has that up with the front runners in its second meeting. Wow. They barely achieved that last year!
WSR will be disappointed. This was a big opportunity completely screwed up. Collard obviously had a neat win and a second, and OK he left the track in R3 (though it wasn’t his fault) but it doesn’t matter. He’s not in the championship hunt. Tordoff has had a poor day by any standards. He again fluffs his starts. He probably chose the wrong tyre for race 1, compounded of course by two non-scores in 2&3. Had he chosen the soft for race 1, he might have had a couple of extra points, but such hindsight
As for Mr Priaulx, I confess to being a fan, but today’s driving was all sorts of odd. The contact with Turks was bizarre for both of them. Both are fairly good at keeping clean races. Race 3, though, was very off character. The ramming into Moffat was also very unusual, but I don’t really think it was all Andy’s fault. Moffat came off that hairpin, skewed straight across from left to the right, but in doing so compromised his exit, lost speed, and Andy had already committed to it having seen probably others in previous races force their way through. Unfortunately for Andy he just wasn’t quite across and Aiden kept coming over, the end result was he smashed up the back of him. The contact that got him past was however I fear clear in intent – though Andy was in the inside line and Moffat came across the front if I remember correctly - like he did to Plato, though evident the BMW was the quicker of the CC and A-class.

As he still finishes 4th here where is the penalty? it encourages drivers to continue to make these moves as the worst that will happen is they lose 1 place.
I would also assume he would have picked up some points and if it happens too often he'll be dumped at the back of the grid like Goff was. What a great weekend at Knockhill.
Plato – I like and have a lot of respect for him as a driver, but we really do need a rule change to stop nonsense like that. Whilst not breaking any rules, the drivers will of course use any means to gain whatever advantage they deem best, can’t blame them for that – hence actual rule change required.
I was watching FP thinking that the Hondas and Audis looked slow. Heh.
Disappointed for Tordoff , his driving deserved more points.
Great (and much needed) win for Shedden in Race 2.
Race 3 was fantastic – A very good drive from Neal, must have been so frustrating for Morgan.
Absolutely delighted for the young Moffat, great drive under pressure.
Priaulx is a funny one, he is obviously a great driver, just pulls the oddest of moves now and again.

Is the safest option though, he couldn't get to the pit lane as the entry to the pit is quite far up compared to where he was on the grid so starting last the sitting on the grid for 20 seconds while the road ahead clears is the safest option. Other wise if he was starting from where he should have he could have "stalled" on the line and then you have a risk of people running into the back of him.

Lost a lot of respect for Andy Priaulx after that. 2 questionable moves, even for the BTCC, and absolutely no contrition post race.
Cant see that he did anything that plato, Neal and Sheddon have made a career out of doing.Thought Aiden Moffat came out of it well, post race interview he could have gone liary but just kept his composure very well I thought.

I don't have the answers, but if they can't police themselves? Stall on the start line and no lap time will be recorded that race? Every lap of every race should be driven like they want to win that race, not the next!
I'm sure collectively we could come up with something better.
If it goes unchecked now, I'm just not sure where it will end.
It looks like Plato thinks he is bigger than the sport IMHO
