So who are we going for to be 2015 champion im backing plato is driving has been excellent this year and isn't falling into the must go for every single point risking potential 3 good races. With Silverstone his best chance for wins with the cc and brands hatch gp which is also a favourite track of his its going to be tough for anyone to beat him. I do think we will se 5 drivers being in with the chance come the final meeting being the 2 Hondas 2 passats and Jordan in the mg being a rank outside but will be out of it by end of race 1 at brands.

Silverstone will be interesting we see how the Hondas go with more straight line speed but saying that Honda and mg have pretty similar mph at the speed traps last year so I do think it will be a struggle for Honda like the Passat at knockhill. Mgs should go well here and mat Jackson will also go well with the ford and with zero ballest for quali its going to be hard for anyone to beat him.

It's fairly obvious the "who" and there's been lots of speculation since the news came out on the "what" and "why".

But, as with everything BTCC, it's down to money.

This apparently andy Wilmot was planned to be in the avensis but a certain team didn't agree with that doesn't take a genius to work out which one tbh.
So now gilham is driving the car instead.

Im not one to see cars out of the series but I think its time for welch to call it a day after what has happened over the past few years its not doing themselves any good and it could be seen as causing harm to the series.

Plato seems to be struggling, did not expect that, the Passat CC was touted to go well at Silverstone with its good aero package.

No surprise the ballast free Focus is quick again, might be hurt less by success ballast there given the lack of turns.

Scott is out for Silverstone and looking likely to be out for brands after a big shunt in practice. Scott has a fractured vertebra.
22 drivers covered by 1s going to be very tight tomorrow.

Apparently Warren Scott has discharged himself from hospital and is back at the circuit with two cracked vertebrae. Most likely purely as team manager and not intending to drive tomorrow!

Rough session for Simon, though sounds like the car could be good in race trim.

I've not worked it out, hence the question.
Does anyone know for a FACT who vetoed the plan?

Well considering willmot left the protons due to well obvious problems doesn't take much too work out who vetoed it.

That's not what I'm hearing.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Wilmot in the car at Brands.

I dont think any team has the power to Veto drivers changing teams in the BTCC unless there are proper contracts in place.

Enjoyed the first Porsche race, Cammish wrapped up the inevitable title win. Was nice to have a live race before the first BTCC race but now there is an hour gap in the action.

Really enjoyed yesterday afternoon at Silverstone, nice to see the cars without the massive crowds!

Was any reason given for Platos lack of pace? I watched from the inside of Brooklands and he never looked on it.

The Porsche qualifying was spectacular through Copse, and the Ginetta juniors racing close as ever!
