You definitely won't see any Insignia's unless someone has built a new pair they were 'donated' to make the 2 extra Passat's.

Ahh right! Knew that all of the common NGTC parts would be recycled, but guess that the shells may still be around.

Read today that Mike Jordan is going to 888 with AJ and Jeff Smith will be running Eurotech.

Andrew Jordan mentioned yesterday that Mike was going to have far less involvement from now on.

I know there is a rumour in the paddock the the 2 newest Passat's actually have Insignia floor pans and they just stuck the new shell on top of the Vauxhall chassis. How true that is I've no idea, at very least they donated the engines and subframes.

impossible as cars dont have a chassis. the passats will be new shells with new cages etc then the common toca parts (subframes etc) bolted on. would also imagine the dataloggers etc will have been reused

What do we reckon the odds are that the champion and the runner up might both be sitting out the season this year or heading off to do something else?

tbh thats the point I was getting at... the engines, gearboxes, subframes, tanks, looms and all associated electrical parts would have found there way onto the passats leaving two bare insignia shells that just need refitting up again if anyone had bought them.

Isn't there supposed to be a team entering Infinti Q50s too.

Bloody well forgot about those! how thick am I lol,oh and theres another potential entrant I forgot too! so thats 37 cars potentially available then, though I guess if Josh Cook apears it will be in an existing car bought from a team (Toyota Avensis?...Andy Neates old Chevvy?) rather than in a new build.

Infiniti Q50 'support our paras racing' - Derek Palmer Jnr
Infiniti Q50 'support our paras racing' - Richard Hawkden
??? racing for heroes - Josh Cook

That was undecided at the announcement. One assumes that a view will be taken nearer the time depending upon how he is doing in the respective titles. It isn't as if we are talking about seats that they will struggle to fill...

Without looking it up I believe there are only 2 clashes in his programmes,1 when at Croft and the Rockingham round, I think he' said one was doable ( croft I think) and the other one he will miss.

I think the number of licences is 32 or there abouts. Last year was full.

Harrison said in Autosport that Plato is off to another team. If he has renewed the deal with Tesco, I'd put money in him bringing another manufacturer into the championship. Works French team perhaps?

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but is Dan Welch the unluckiest guy ever? Broken ribs and a punctured lung at the Dubai 24h headache

32 is spot on, though toca held one back all year which just fuelled the Rob Gravett return rumours at one stage!

To use a Murray Walker quote (referring to a different driver when he said it)....he wouldnt have any luck if he didnt have bad luck!!

Poor Dan, hope he makes a speedy recovery. The guy really does deserve a change of fortune in the BTCC, him and the team put so much in for little return and yet always seem upbeat, Get Well Soon Dan.
