The Team Parker Racing car is the Dextra car?

https://twitter.com/DextraRacing/status/5659703625...

There's 2 ex-Airwaves cars, one is unaccounted for so far but I expect Jacskon will be another last minute announcement.

Well as I understand it with the four motorbase cars......

Chassis 01) The first build that Mat Jackson ran for the last half of the 2012 season in Redstone Racing colours having debuted it at snetterton, he then ran the car for 2013 in Airwaves livery, before it was sold to AMD for 2014 and is still there.
Chassis 02) The second build, Aron Smiths car for the 2013 season in Airwaves livery,Jack Clarkes Crabbies car for 2014 and I believe this is Alex Martins Dextra car.
Chassis 03) Third build, debuted by Michael Caine at Croft in 2013 in the black Autoglym livery, This is the car that Tom Onslow-Cole did the last three rounds of the 2013 season in livered as a third Airwaves car, Then Gio's car for the 2014 season. Currently white and unlivered.
Chassis 04) Fourth build - the 'Gary B' named after the guy that put a lot of work into the build of it, that unfortunately passed away before seeing the car race. This was Mat Jacksons car of last year and currently white and unlivered.

There have only been 3 Airwaves cars for three rounds of the championship - rockingham, silverstone and brands gp all in 2013......were two last year not three as suggested. Thought the satellite car for crabbies was still ran by motorbase.....arrived at the circuits in a motorbase transporter....not too sure on the team parker arrangement.

As suggested it is feasible that a fifth car has been built on the quiet,,,,lets face it, they built the first one without anyone knowing and rolled it out of a trailer into the pitlane at snetterton on the saturday morning to everyones surprise!! And kept the third build fairly quiet too!! So who knows!!

For anyone that's interested that refers to Gary Britnell, brother of Andy Britnell. They raced together in TVR Tuscans and later on Andy raced in Carrera Cup.

If that wasn't a rhetorical question, yes.

Thanks for setting that straight Ollie - Wasnt sure on the spelling of their surname and thought it would be disrespectful to spell it wrong.

Both really nice blokes, Gary was the joker of the two.

I remember Dave going mental when they took each other out in Porsches.

It was my Dad's relationship with them that formed my link to Motorbase and Carrera Cup. It was actually Andy that campaigned to get me the guest drive that kicked it all off at the end of 2008 after he watched me reach 2nd in about a lap and a half after starting from the back of the grid in a wet Caterham Superlights race at Donny!

My Tuscan is an ex Britnell car and has various bits with Andy and Gary written on them, presumerably bits they knocked off it during races lol

Great memory to have.

I've known them since 1994, prior to Motorbase even existing as I used to run a TVR dealer the owner of which was good friends with Dave.

Back then they were all three of them trying to outdo each other with which stupid road car they could buy next.

I think I can vaguely remember that, as the first race meeting I ever went to was Barty running the two of them at Silverstone and I remember Andy having some daft car!

I actually bought my Evo IX from him and sold it through Cainey!

They went through Scoobies, Evos and Focus RS's.

There was even a Mosselman Merc estate at one point.

Hopefully you'll have a bit more competition in the GT4 Supercup this year Mr. Jackson. Great series but seems to be struggling to gain entries, maybe the only support series under 16 cars? Good luck anyhow.

Two more drivers to be announced soon. First one at 8pm tonight. Possibly Speedworks as they were dropping hints a little while ago.

Ingram stays with Speedworks. Hopefully he gets a bit more luck this year, as he seemed to get decent pace out of that Avensis.

Tickets for Donington - sure I had received a recent email offering a discount if bought online - anyone had the same email or am I going mad?
