Its Donnington this weekend isn't it?

I don't live far away so thinking of going down. Does anyone know what generally happens on the sat and sunday? I imagine its a bit like F1? Quali on sat, races on sun?

I could just buy the weekend ticket and do both, but what other things are typically on in between the main events?

On the Saturday there is qualifying, IIRC the support classes will qualify too and some will run their first race of the meeting.

Sunday all classes will race.

Usually you can get the daily schedule from the circuit website, I looked but Donnington haven't put one up yet. One may appear later in the week though.

I'll be heading down on Sunday but have done both days in the past

There's all the support races in between the actual touring car stuff - Ginettas porches etc usually an open wheel support series - usually very very entertaining - especially stuff like the Clio & Ginetta racing stuff.

If the weather is good it'll be a cracking day out.

Take a look at TSL timings website, there will be a full weekend schedule to download.
I really enjoy the Saturday racing and qualifying, you don't get the crowds and the teams are more accessible.

Cheers for the info though guys. Think I'll go Sunday, will be busier, but never seen a BTCC race live before so might as well get it in. Though I'll probably have to leave before 4 pm, hopefully I'll get at least one race in.

Get there nice and early and you'll only miss the very last race.

Due to Cornwall being miles from anywhere, we only manage to get to one meeting per year. After finding Oulton Park a little bit flat last year, I'm looking forward to Donington this weekend.

It's still a 350+ round trip for us.

This was what happened to us last time we went to Thruxton, we still haven't dried out!

RAR have got a bit of work to do, after Goff hit Abbott in FP1.

2 penalty points and a reprimand for Goff, big repair job for RAR.

Apparently Abbot was on a slow lap, warming his tyres, Goff on a hot one and decided he was coming through at the chicane....
