almost as bad as having the race decided by someone cheating by pushing another car off the track
Which can be addressed pretty much immediately? It has to be seen, then the footage pulled back up for the right people, it might not be a great angle or there might be a difference of opinion, and with 1 or 2 incidents of contact on a lap.... 10 minutes could fly by, and the race significantly changed or finished already.
Then you have each of the post chiefs only handing in their paper work at the end of the race reporting anything not caught on camera/where the observers are.
Spot on days action, great driving from Morgan-Moffat-Cook alday. Normally not bothered about the the Porsche's but missed them, pity they could not have found a one-off fill in race.
Anyway here my vid of the days action:

Pistonheads, where the posters get more upset about decisions than the affected party.
Or where I can say what I want as I'm not under contract. What's the point in having a set of rules if they're not adhered too? It opens the gates for every plum to push to pass when they haven't got the ability to get past.
If I were Jordan, Austin, or cook then I'd go out and put out the first car that came my way as nothing would happen apparently. It's spineless officials and nothing more.

Austin does that anyway. The cynic in me is surprised they haven't reversed the result. It would have been 6 winners in 6 races....
WOW what a last race action packed from start to finish if this is the signs of the season ahead it will be a good one.
Hugely impressed with cook and the power max team to be running this competitively so early on in the year if it weren't for the safety car I think he may have won that race, I would be very surprised if he doesn't grab a race win this year.
Also aiden moffet very impressive drive from further down the field even if most of it was spent on the grass at some point another start for the future.
Very lucky for all involved with the smith cook incident very very lucky not to have a multi car crash by then.
The more I see of the neal/Jordan incident the more that is clearly not a move to overtake more a move to hit him off and the result should of been reversed but lets move on to rd3.

What a great weekend of racing and what great entertainment from the marshall's https://youtu.be/OpzursQvFQ4
Was well worth the journey from Cornwall to Donington for this.
A great day's racing with race 3 being the highlight for me. We noticed loads of people watch the cars start race 3, then leave Donington for the day. I'm sure they're kicking themselves now after seeing what they missed on TV. I must say I was impressed with traffic management, we got out no fuss.
Also echo another poster's comment. Was a shame not to see the Porsches there.
Poor Dan Welch, really seems to be chucking money down the toilet and needs to change to the TOCA engine ASAP

Thinking back to the Turks/Shedden incident of last year... Colin hit him a bit harder but it looked a lot less premeditated and the resulting penalty almost cost Turks the title...
Thought Jordan was remarkably restrained when he got back behind Neal in R3 - must have been sooo tempted to get his own back!

You were lucky, we went straight to the car after the end of the last race and then queued for over an hour to get out. Made slightly better by seeing a fox wandering around on the field where the cars had been parked, until some tt decided to chase it away.A great day's racing with race 3 being the highlight for me. I'm glad the driver didn't plant his foot to the floor, as we could have had a low-flying marshal...Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
