Well later than usual but with the last race over for 2014 time for the long winter and various stories to pop up maybe volov/kia will be said to be coming in or maybe clyde valley racing some may not get that last one.

Very few confirmed entries at the moment but plenty of rumors going around and we may see a really shaken up grid next year with new cars, teams, drivers in different team etc.

Amd are planning on a 2nd car team next year along with rotek racing, marc hynes will continue with the mg as well not much more than that atm but there are plenty of rumours regards to will mg continue in the championship, will dynamics move to the type r, will eurotech still race with the Honda, will plato be in a rwd car, will both menu and gio continue list is endless.

Interesting off season ahead I think.

Dynamics are moving to back to the hatchback to promote the Type R, Eurotech will still be running Civic's and Jordan's car at least will definitely be running the Type R bodywork like the factory cars. Eurotech are also trying to get their old race engineer to come and work for them again as that's been their weak spot this year.

It would be fantastic to see the new Type R out racing next year.

I'm sure the tourer was a great PR exercise Honda but it just didn't look like a BTCC machine.

Mg seem to have a strange relationship with touring cars in that they don't seem to use it to promote there cars!

Remember the halcyon days in the early 90's when vauxhall/ford would have pages booked in the national press in case there cars won.

Technically the hatchbacks have never left the grid to be fair, the 2 Tourers this year are chassis numbers 001 and 002, same as the hatchbacks, because they put new roofs, 3/4's and bootlids on them to make the Tourers hehe

They couldn't get proper tourer bodies in time so as the back of the car is all TOCA subframe they were just adapted.

I've never understood that either.

It's a good point, bar the odd one or two the inky time you see many MG's on a car park is at the touring cars.

I deliver post to a guy who owns one, but think he collects mg's, it's out of the garage maybe once a fortnight when it gets washed.

Intreagued to see what TheWookie aka Ollie Jackson does next year. He's had no luck with that Proton this year. Poor chap frown.

So I see Mr gow is looking at pegging back rwd cars. What a load of rubbish! To be honest it isn't rwd that saw Turks win the championship, it was the fact he is the best driver on the btcc, bar none, by a huge margin. If you look at collard and foster they are nowhere near Turks level in the same car, and the rob Austin audis were nowhere pretty much all year. If they change the rules it is essentially just the series bowing to pressure from Honda and Plato. Put turkington in platos mg or the Honda and he would still wipe the floor with everyone else. Trying to slow him down by penalising rwd is an utterly stupid idea and i really hope it doesn't come to fruition. Its just down to the fact that Colin is a great driver and wsr have done the best job of developing a btcc car this year.

That car looks great, but two drivers named already? So if the grid is limited to 32 again we've already lost one of this year's drivers

This is a problem with the championship being so successful! We need bigger grids. smile

IF they change the rules to slow down the rwd bmw's i'd love it if turkington jumped the gun and switched to a fwd and beat them at there own game.
