I don't know if they are still operating, but Page & Moy Travel were the original & best of the coach operators running trips to Le Man's since 1961. If you Google them, there should be info either about them, or alternatives.
We first went in 1976, departing Fri & arriving home on Mon.
That was a killer trip, the race was fantastic, but the return journey was awful, so exhausting after the 24 hours of little or no sleep. You wouldn't believe how grouchy some people can get in the confines of a packed coach.
Thereafter we opted tor the extra night stopover in a hotel on Sun night. Believe me, it's well worth the extra cost to have a nice refreshing shower, a couple of drinks in the bar, and a good night's sleep.
But the best way is to travel down in your own cars with a group of like- minded souls, camping at the circuit and soaking up the sights, sounds & atmosphere of this great event.
Have a look at www.fasttracktours.co.uk run by Ian Longden ( Longers ).
From personal experience, I can highly recommend them.
