Prodrive M40

I drove past their place on the M40 today and the Prodrive buildings have gone, demolished. Anyone know what's going on have they moved?

They're moving to a new facility in Banbury with the aim of having everything under the same roof.

yes, there building a new site, also visable from the M40. Looks like a load of mud at the moment.

Site sold to M & S, Sainsbury's or similar.
My guess is DR bought it for pennies in the 80's, most likely sold it for a huge amount of dosh to one of the above.
The new site is a greenfield plot IIRC (as someone said, it too is visible from the M40) I'd be amazed if DR hasn't got some sort of grant to develop the new site .......

Yep, its on the other side of the same junction, some of the other buildings are still there till they can move in next year but its all going under 1 roof. At least I wont have to remember the junction number to get off at when the new sign goes up!

Prodrive had been on their old site for 30 yrs & just about bought all the surrounding buildings they could though as others have said, it wasn't efficient use of the space. They bought the old Hella factory nearby about 2 yrs ago & have been readying it to move into in August this yr.
