Just made it to the hotel despite everyone in on the roads being in drive like a duck mode..

Bit of a changel of plan, we are doing Sweet Lamb tomorrow as it should be a good atmosphere, Dyfnant and then Brenig as planned.

Buzzing, can't wait for it!

I'm just leaving for Hafren now! Really excited for this year for it should be the best yet.
If anyone is in carpark E or F in Hafren and see a blue 64 plate fiesta st come say hi, otherwise I will be drinking on my own!.

What time do you all recommend I get to the Rallyfest at Chirk tomorrow given the car parks open at 8am?

What a great day doing start line on Maesnant!! I was absolutely buzzing for the start of the rally, and have been up since 02:30, now to get a few hrs shut eye before heading off from my digs for an hour and halfish drive to sign on at Dyfnant for around 6am!!

Keep safe people! And keep an eye out for me in the stage if you attend, pop over and say hi, I'm on junction 13 all day! (I'll likely have a welsh flag bobble hat on)
I'm driving the Blue E46 Bmw reg ending XVN. (Well it's more of a 2 tone brown n blue colour now, I had ordered a smiley to fit, but it hadn't arrived in time and even if it had, the location of fitting is now caked in mud so you'd not see it anyway!)

I'll post pics and vids when I get back home to decent internet/wifi.

RE - Chirck spectating - Get there as early as you are happy getting there for. Expect a delay at the gate/carpark a bit of a walk and lots of jostling for viewing/merchant trucks/catering outlets. You could probably arrive 1/2 he before first car, but if it's a capacity crowd you're going to be right at the back end of the car park and tracking it at pace to see anything.
I'm pretty sure rally fest tickets are advance purchase only also, so if you haven't already got a ticket you may not get in!

Its hard to tell after the traffic chaos of last year. Either loads of people will turn up, or it will be really quiet. I would aim for as early as poss really to make sure.

Not a bad day in Sweet Lamb, was really surprised at how quiet it was compared to when I was last there in horrific weather in 2008! Watched from the run into the bowl section, the speed they were carrying into the breaking zone before the water splash was pretty impressive! Lots of enthusiastic attempts at the last jump too from the whole field.

Gutted not to see the Stratos frown

Looking forward to tomorrow evenings stages in the dark now!

I've been trying to see Steve Perez stratos for ages. Seen the 240z and the Focus many times instead. Wish I was going to the WRC this year but alas time and money eludes me.

Here's all a vid of all the stuff I have managed to see this year though!

We got up early and went to gartheiniog yesterday, watched the whole lot go through. Lots of people there, seemed well organised, although we went up the wrong path at first following the crowd to try and get to the hairpin, although wish we hadn't as the first person who had gone up hadn't a clue! Still,we got back just in time to see the first car.
Unfortunately, even though there are signs asking to take your litter home with you and don't light fires, there was st everywhere, and some nutters had even cut a tree down over to burn where lots of people were camping.
No wonder the organisers have trouble organising and clearing up!

Glad we went to Aberhirnant then, as I doubt we would have got in!

Had a great day watching at a fast downhill section just after the last official "viewing point", where Meeke was pretty wide coming into view, and Kubica on the way out! Loved the night stage, watching from a downhill approach into a long right hander. Meeke, Latvala and Kubica were bloody epic, while Mikkelsen must have scared the crap out of the media on the exit of the corner, he was in waaay too fast!

In between the 2 stage runnings I saw a young'ish lad in a Pistonheads hoodie in car park L, but didn't have time to say hello as I was on a mission back to the car!

Awesome pics Matt

I was at Clocaenog Main on Saturday. Arrived 2:30am and had 3 hours sleep in the car, saw both runs & service and finally arrived home at 11pm, 24 hours after leaving. Had a great day out smile

Just missed seeing Latvala's off, heard it and saw people running over but it was just round the corner from me. The speed of the top 10 was gobsmacking, shockingly committed.

Also saw Ari Vatenan, Robert Reid and Nicky Grist being interviewed on stage at service. Loved how they were happy to chat to fans and do autographs etc afterwards. Ari walked past me later on, clocked me recognising him and gave me a nod and a smile as he walked past - absolutely made my day as he's been a hero to me since I first saw Climb Dance.

Ogier on Aberhirnant.

Really enjoyed the stage in the dark, with the bright lights and the extra sense of speed and noise! Couldn't believe we were lucky enough to have it under the stars and not heavy rain!
