Coulthard is a 13x grand prix winner, not a 13th place average DTM finisher. Wolff has no reason to be there other than because she's a woman. Her performance this weekend has proven that.
It's because she's a well known motor sports personality and their aim is to attract viewers. She's a bigger name than some of the other drivers out there. And last year Felix Baumgartner was scheduled to compete, but I bet there'd be no complaints about how whether or not he deserved his place in the line-up, and his only racing experience at the time was with VW Polos. ... except DC has won plenty of championships, both in Karting and Formula Ford.
He's also won grand prix, and can generally be accepted as a great driver by all.
I've nowt against Susie, or trying to get more airtime for female racers - there's technically no reason whatsoever that ladies can't kick the lads' arses (it's just a case of numbers IMO). However, (again IMO), the ROC is not the place to do so, and Susie is not the person to do it - Danica Patrick might have broken the duck..

RedBull carry a legacy clause in all their contracts with drivers who have to run the RedBull logo on their helmets for at least 3 years after they have finished driving with the team with no extra funding given to the driver. Hence why Mark Webber still has the RedBull logo on his helmet in LMP Porsche, but RedBull don't pay him for that. I guess when you're desperate for a drive you're willing to give up certain rights to get the sponsorship.
I guess DC's clause has finally expired and now he is free.
The ROC guest passengers are competition winners and members of the team, but priority is given to guests and winners.
Hmmm... As far as I am aware, Webber is still sponsored by Red Bull.I guess DC's clause has finally expired and now he is free.

DC done us proud especially in the Rallycross cars, maybe a guest appearance or two in the championship for him in the future?
Hopefully he will have a stronger teammate for next year's nations cup as Susie was garbage, I'd like to see Hamilton take part as he did well in Top Gear's "star in a reasonably priced car" so may be good at adapting from car to car. Palmer was a bit of a let down too :-(

I think this has lost something this year. Not in a stadium kind and what seems to have been a lower standard of entry. Still something nice and different though
Stig in the Audi again and he didn't roll it
Yep I watched the RoC live at both Wembley and at the Stade de France - I think it really should be a stadium event. Barbados looked good but the cars seemed to spend too long a great distance apart from one another, so losing the "Scalextric effect".Stig in the Audi again and he didn't roll it
Incidentally - only in France would they light up a jet powered dragster on the ROC course - blew away a few advertising hoardings and a few marshals.
To be fair to Stig I think it was Michele Mouton who put the Quattro on its roof at Dusseldorf 2010....
