What ever happened to the 3 yellow peugeot 205 t16 pikes peak cars? I am a massive fan of these cars but have not been able to find out any info where these cars went to after the race had finished. Were they put into storage/mueseum, were they made into the paris dakar specials or were they destroyed? You can find all kinds of info on the standard t16 as these are in mueseums still but nothing of the pikes peak type. Can any one help???

I thought the pikes peak cars were 405's?

Well, lengthened t16's basically :-)

If you're talking about 'yellow 205s' don't you mean the Dakar cars rather than Pikes Peak?

Surely the Pikes Peak cars were designated 405 T16. The yellow cars were the Paris Dakar T16s, both 205 and 405 versions.

There were definitely yellow pikes peak t16's in 1987 which grew larger wings as the meeting progressed. I thought the Dakar T16's were LWB too.

The dakar cars were a longer wheel base but could have been tampered with to get that but these seem to have vanished of the face of the earth compared to the standard t16.

They were 2 different cars the Dakar was a long wheel base for extra fuel tanks and de-tuned the other had more aero wings and more weight loss with extra power.

I would have thought that Peugeot retained at least one, maybe kept at Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot
Museum in Sochaux, France.
You could always fire them an email, if they don't have one they may know where some of them are.
